"Never mind, everyone's gained some decent power in the last two years, but I can't lose!" Usopp grinned, raising his slingshot and aiming at the fishman charging at him. "Ultimate move: Green Star!"
Robin seemed to be the most detached presence on the battlefield, her expression indifferent. She stood slightly outside the crowd, her sharp eyes scanning the battlefield with analytical precision, ready to lend a helping hand at any time if necessary.
"Why are these guys so highly motivated? It's like they genuinely crave battle!" The fish-men above the plaza looked down at the Straw Hat crew, who were excitedly fighting the new fish-man pirates, with puzzlement.
"There are even people standing leisurely on the battlefield, completely disregarding the new Fishman Pirates' officers," another Fishman said in surprise.
"Is this the power of the pirates who shake the world? Even a hundred thousand men would be a battle they could finish in an instant." The third fishman joined the conversation, saying firmly, "The Straw Hat Pirates will definitely defeat Hody! Help us rescue the princess!"
"Straw Hat Boy, watch out! That's the Kraken!" Some fish-men above the plaza couldn't help but shout a warning as they watched Luffy standing in front of the Kraken.
Luffy looked up at the familiar figure in front of him and grinned. "Hey! Dried squid! Let me sit on it!"
"Whoa! The straw hat is going to get hit!" The fishmen above the plaza shouted in horror as they watched the squid leg slam down on Luffy, who was wearing a straw hat.
"Hehehe! Charge! Dried Squid!!" Luffy laughed happily as he sat on the head of Dried Squid, looking towards Hody's location and shouting, "Go over there, Dried Squid!"
"Kraken, don't forget your brothers are still in the North Sea. We can easily take its life anytime!" Hody said in a low, threatening voice. "You are a legendary species; even your corpses can fetch a good price! If that's what you wish for..."
The dried squid's happy smile froze instantly, its lips turned down, and it looked at Hody in fear, stopping its crawling motion.
"Dried squid!" Luffy interrupted Hody.
In that instant, the dried squid looked up to see its friend. It liked this human, but it couldn't let its brother get hurt. It brought the human in front of it and looked at him guiltily.
"Do whatever you want!" Luffy stood on the octopus's tentacles, grinning as he looked into its eyes. "Hehehe, you want to protect your brother, right? Let me help you protect it! I'll help you take down the guy who's threatening your brother's life!!"
When the Kraken actually obeyed Luffy's orders and put him down, the fish-men above the plaza were incredibly shocked. This scene was completely unexpected. They had never heard of humans being able to communicate with sea monsters, but a hope arose in their hearts: perhaps the Straw Hats could really defeat Hody and save the princess and the king.
"Since that's the case, then so be it," Hody said in a low voice, his eyes dark as he watched Straw Hat Luffy approach. He suppressed the chill that was creeping down his spine; he was the strongest now, and no one could stop him. He shouted, "Kill him!"
"Yes, Captain!" The fishman standing behind Hody immediately raised his weapon and charged towards Luffy. "Straw Hat!!"
Luffy didn't even need to lift a finger. Zoro and Sanji had already swung their swords and kicked the fishmen blocking their way before they even had a chance to get close to Luffy. "We won't let you get in our way, Captain!"
"Second Gear: Armament Haki." Luffy stared intently at the fish-man, steadily walking towards Hody. He casually swung his right arm to energize himself, then flashed forward and punched Hody to vent his anger. "You've got me a little furious!"
Hody slammed heavily against the wall, blood trickling from his mouth and his face contorted in pain.
The fish-men above the plaza watched Hody remain motionless with excitement, shouting, "Amazing! Go Straw Hat!! Defeat Hody!!"
Lucci shifted his attention from Luffy to Usopp, having just witnessed Usopp using plants to entangle his enemies.
He noticed that, unlike two years ago, Usopp's bullets were now all sorts of strange, fast-growing seed plants, and couldn't help but exclaim, "Luffy's crew is really strange. The shipwright isn't a normal shipwright, and the sniper isn't a normal sniper either."
