Chapter 488 A strange situation

Chapter 488 A strange situation

In a secret tower of the Son of God, a dark cell stood out. Inside the cell, a figure was struggling hard, trying to break free.

"You can't keep me here forever." Ahsoka shouted loudly, her voice full of determination and unyielding. "Do you hear me?"

Ahsoka summoned all her powers, both natural and Force, but the invisible restraints did not budge.

"Save your energy." A cold voice came from the side.

Ahsoka snapped her head back, her eyes locked on the speaker. Before her was a strange creature, only about a foot tall, with long thin ears, lavender skin, and beady black eyes.

The creature before her puzzled her, wondering how it had come to be there and why it could move relatively freely.

"You are left here to die," the voice continued, only fueling Ahsoka's will to resist.

"Whatever happens, I will escape from here," she declared firmly, unwilling to accept such a fate.

"That's impossible." The creature chuckled. "I've been here longer than you can remember."

"I am a Jedi Knight, and we will not give up easily." Ahsoka responded.

"A Jedi? Hehe." The creature staggered towards her, looking her up and down, "But you look very young." It seemed to move to the side again, preparing to climb the wall. "Little one, where is your master? Where is he?"

"He'll come to me. And so will my friends," Ahsoka replied.

"If they don't come--"

"They will!" Ahsoka interrupted, her tone full of confidence.

The little creature didn't care about the interruption, it slowly approached Ahsoka's face. "So what makes you so sure?" it asked curiously.

"Because they did it before! And they will do it again," Ahsoka answered firmly.

"Too much trust is not a good thing." The little creature shook his head, "What will you do when they break that trust and let you down?"

Just as Ahsoka was about to respond, she felt the shackles holding her to the wall loosen. She breathed a sigh of relief, twisted her wrists a little, and massaged them gently.

"Thank you," she said to the little creature.

"For these chains…" While Ahsoka was distracted, the creature's movements became swift, as it was now lying on the ground, right in front of her.

"The chains are the easy part," it said, pointing to its freed hands. Then it moved one hand to its head, "What happens here is the hardest." Then it moved the other hand to its chest, "And here, is the worst." The little creature's words revealed a deep meaning.

Small creatures began to surround her, "If you want to survive, you must forget your master and friends."

Ahsoka shook her head in denial: "I don't think I would..."

Suddenly, she felt her arm being pulled by a force, and her words were interrupted. She looked back and saw that the hideous creature had bitten her exposed skin. The sharp teeth were exposed before the bite, and it bit her quickly.

"Ah!" Ahsoka cried out in pain. When the little creature let go of her, blood oozed from the wound. She hugged her injured arm tightly, and the huge pain spread from the wound to her whole body.

"Why are you doing this!?" she questioned the little creature.

However, the creature just gave a weird smile and backed away. "You are mine now."

Padawan's eyes widened and she stepped back when she saw the little creature transformed into a god child.

As fear slowly took hold of Ahsoka, she felt something even stronger spreading—starting from her bitten arm.

The feeling of corruption began to spread within her, flowing through her body, burning her, tainting her. She fell to the ground in agony, tears filling her eyes.

"Anakin..." She called out to her Jedi Master in her mind, her voice filled with desperation, "Peter... help me..." Ahsoka's movements gradually stopped, leaving only silence.

Ahsoka opened her eyes, and her healthy blue skin quickly turned into a sickly yellow, with red around the edges. At the same time, in another part of the God's Son Tower, Spider-Man also felt many things.

First, he ached all over, the aftermath of the many dangerous encounters earlier. As the adrenaline wore off after the failed attempt to save his friend, Spider-Man's body ached. However, he fought the pain because he knew he had to keep looking for a way to rescue Ahsoka.

The second was his strong sense of crisis. His senses seemed to tell him that he could be in direct danger at any time, just because he stepped into this place and failed to leave in time.

Spider-Man walked through the tower, looking around, holding parts of his body from time to time. His heart was filled with worry and determination for Ahsoka, and he had to find a way to save her. Looking back from the current moment, his condition was a mess, and his body suffered varying degrees of damage. His spider suit was severely damaged, and the lightning-shaped burn mark on his chest left by the Son of God was particularly conspicuous. He was worried whether he could still keep in touch with others, because the suit system might have been damaged by the attack of the Force. What was more worrying was that even Karen was not around, and he couldn't be sure whether he had completely lost contact or she was no longer in the suit.

Still, he at least kept a backup of her on Coruscant, just in case. In this unknown place of exploration, he explored every accessible nook and cranny, hoping to find Ahsoka. The whole place seemed so exquisite that Spider-Man even ventured to speculate that this might be a deliberate layout.

Finally, his exploration paid off - a strange phenomenon appeared before his eyes.

Suspended between four pillars was a black sphere, placed inside a gyroscope. The sphere swayed aimlessly, as if dancing under the lights. Spider-Man felt an inexplicable attraction that made him stop and stare.

He looked closely at the black sphere, which seemed to be staring back at him from its slightly rounded upper shape. The sphere stared at him intently until it began to tremble slightly and white eyes began to emerge from within.

"It's not true..." Spider-Man exclaimed, "What is going on?"

The sphere actually mimics the lenses on his mask!

Although Spider-Man couldn't explain how exactly this happened, his curiosity eventually got the better of him, and using a combination of timing, webbing, and quick pulling movements, he successfully extracted the strange black sphere from the gyroscope-like device. With the sphere in his hands, he began to examine it closely.

This sphere was not a solid substance, but a condensed material. After a moment, it seemed to begin to decompose and even melt. However, it did not slip from his palm, but seemed to stick to his hand and spread around.

"Whoa! What the hell is going on?" Spider-Man exclaimed. He saw the material quickly spread to his arms and spread to other parts of his body. He tried to push it away, but to no avail.

"Go away!"

The black substance, ignoring Spider-Man's pleas, covered the young hero from top to bottom. It quickly sank into the clothes the Earthling wore, as if it had reached a tacit coexistence with them. Not really merging into one, but forming a new layer on top of it.

The black substance moved through the seams and rips of the clothing, trying its best to blend into the boy's body.

Then, Spider-Man fainted and fell to the ground. After a few seconds of deep sleep, he woke up staggeringly.

Spider-Man struggled to stand up in a half-awake state, trying to keep his balance. "What happened just now?" He asked inwardly, feeling a little uneasy from the unusual spider suit.

"Why do I feel... so sticky?" he muttered to himself in confusion. Looking up, he felt something pierce his mind. "I feel... something enter my head?" Spider-Man muttered. He looked around, shaking his head, "This place is really unsettling."

As he left the spot, his thoughts raced through his mind. What had happened? What were those black things? Did they appear in his mind because of the influence of the tower? His main concern was still Ahsoka's whereabouts.

As Spider-Man continued to explore, he suddenly stopped and saw something strange...

Looking up, he saw his own reflection...but oddly enough, it didn't look like him.

It turned out that he...had changed his clothes.

The Spider suit, which was once torn and worn with red and blue as the main colors, has now become an all-encompassing black. The only bright colors on the suit are his lenses and the spider logo on his chest and back.

Spider-Man initially thought it was just an illusion in his mind, but when he looked down and realized it was real, he was shocked.

"What the hell is this?!" Spider-Man exclaimed, covering his face with his hands, and then covering other parts of his body.

He quickly took off the mask to make sure he was not seeing things. Look, this was not a trick of light and shadow, nor was it an illusion of the eyes. "Woo--" He glanced down at the black clothes on his body, his heart full of confusion. "What on earth is this?"

Spider-Man patted his chest and abdomen, feeling the organic, slightly moist touch. He raised his hands, clenching and unclenching them repeatedly, as if exploring a new tactile experience.

This strange feeling… made him feel an unprecedented peace, as if he was tightly surrounded by a gentle embrace.

His clothes were black and different from others. He looked around and his eyes fell on the black spots of the four-pillar structure.

"Is this the reason?" he whispered to himself.

Spider-Man blinked, feeling the black clothes trembling slightly, and at the same time, there was a thumping sound in his head, which seemed to be some kind of confirmation of his guess.

So what did he get from that sphere...

"what!"

That voice...

“Why would you do that!?”

Spider-Man turned sharply towards the source of the voice, his eyes widening and his face showing worry at Ahsoka's voice.

"Ahsoka! Here I come!" he yelled, quickly putting his mask on and running at full speed towards where he heard her voice.

Whatever the suit's secret is, it's yet to be revealed. But right now, he has a friend to save.
