Mahamayuri is the Buddha Mother of Mt. Lingshan. When Tathagata achieved a golden body on the top of the snow mountain, he was eaten by a peacock in one bite.

Later, when Tathagata Buddha Ancestor broke out and wanted to kill the peacock, he was dissuaded by the Buddhas, so Tathagata released the peacock and made her his mother.

And this canary is also the son of Mahamayuri, so in terms of seniority, it should be regarded as Tathagata's sister.

It is precisely because she was born with the Buddha-nature that Tathagata left in the peacock's body that she could successfully inherit Tathagata's mana.

The passing away of Tathagata can be said to be the greatest secret in the Three Realms, and currently only the three Bodhisattvas of Dīpankara Buddha Ancestor, Guanyin and Kṣitigarbha of Hell know.
