HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 144 The Unforgivable Curse

Chapter 144 The Unforgivable Curse

The classes over the past two days were normal, and Gloria went to Professor Snape's office with a traceless bag containing rare potion ingredients.

It was agreed that the school would be supplied with potion materials every year. The other herbs had been handed over to Headmaster Dumbledore during the summer vacation. The house-elves in her family were quite afraid of Professor Snape, so this particularly precious batch was delivered by her.

I knocked on the door twice, and a dull "Come in" came from inside.

When I pushed the door open, I saw Professor Snape at his desk, quickly correcting homework with a quill pen, his brows deeply furrowed.

On the other side, the unlucky Neville was caught and put in solitary confinement. He was now dealing with a horned toad, cutting it open and cleaning its internal organs. Both the scene and the smell were unpleasant.

In the last Potions class, Neville burned through the crucible, and the Slytherin and Gryffindor students were all scared. As expected, Professor Snape put him in detention.

Seeing it was her, Neville took a quick look and quickly lowered his head to continue. It was such a big bucket, and he didn't know how long it would take to finish it.

"Professor Snape." Gloria walked to the desk, "I'm here to deliver rare medicinal herbs. Where should I put them?"

Snape stopped using the quill, put it aside, stood up and said in a deep voice, "Come with me, my private storage room is not far from here."

He walked down from the desk and said to Neville, "Keep working on it. You can leave only when you're done."

Neville looked really pitiful as he lowered his head, neither wanting to cry nor not. His movements in handling the toad were also very clumsy, and it seemed that he had wasted some time.

The two were walking one after the other, but they had not gone far when they heard a familiar thudding sound. Sure enough, they soon saw Professor Moody, walking and looking around in the basement with a cane.

"Snape," he greeted.

Professor Snape held his left arm slightly back and stopped in front of him, "Professor Moody, this is the basement of the castle, why are you here."

Except for the Hufflepuff common room and the kitchen, the rest of the Hogwarts basement is basically related to Slytherin. I really can't imagine why a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts would come here.

"Oh, although I have only taught here for a year, I should be familiar with the layout of the school." Professor Moody stared at Gloria with a half-smile, "Ms. Slytherin, I have heard of you for a long time."

"Professor Moody." Gloria greeted him normally, as if what happened in the hallway two days ago had never happened.

"I have captured many dark wizards in my country." Moody looked her up and down, "They all worship Slytherin. I am also honored to meet the most prestigious Slytherin heir while I am still alive."

"The Slytherins have been in seclusion for thousands of years, and that is just the reputation of their ancestors."

Moody said: "Even though he has been in seclusion for a thousand years, he has trained many dark wizards for the British wizarding world."

Gloria didn't say anything, but Professor Snape stood up and said, "Professor Moody, this is a student of my college, not a prisoner you want to interrogate. We have some things to deal with, so we won't delay your understanding of the school layout."

Professor Moody looked pleased, his hideous scar was pulled, and he immediately made way.

Professor Snape's medicine storage room is not large, and he is carefully packaging the herbs he has taken out.

"Professor Snape." Gloria asked, "Is Professor Moody good at the Dark Arts?"

The professor who was packing the herbs looked up at her, as if curious as to why she asked this. "I'm not sure, but as a former Auror, he must know about the Dark Arts and how to use them."

Gloria nodded slowly. As a Slytherin, she could easily spot wizards immersed in dark magic in the crowd.

If I hadn't known in advance that Professor Moody was a retired Auror, I would have thought that some powerful dark wizard had come to the school.

Finally the day of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class arrived. The capable Slytherin students all sat at the back. The students in the front rows looked back from time to time, hoping to exchange seats with someone, but their hopes were doomed to fail.

With the sound of taps, Professor Moody came in. His fake eyes quickly turned and scanned the whole class. He stood on the podium and smiled when he saw their fearful expressions.

"Although this is the first class, you should know my identity." Professor Moody said, "Before I taught you, I was a retired Auror who captured many... dark wizards who graduated from Slytherin College."

With a malicious smile, he took out the curved wine bottle, tilted his head back and took a sip.

The students were speechless. Was he drinking during class?

After drinking, he began to call the roll, and everyone responded weakly one by one until Draco's name was called. Professor Moody paused, "Draco Malfoy, how is your father now?"

Draco didn't want to pay attention to him, but the other party was a professor, so he had to answer perfunctorily, "My father is fine."

Professor Moody smiled coldly, and after clicking the remaining few, he closed the booklet. "Defense against the Dark Arts. Understanding the Dark Arts is of utmost importance. I believe that you understand the Dark Arts better than the other three houses, so you must know which spells will be severely punished after using them."

After saying that, he looked at Gloria and said, "You are a Slytherin, so you know which spells I am referring to, right?"

"Clear, Imperius Curse, Cruciatus Curse, Killing Curse."

"Correct!" Moody's voice suddenly increased, and he turned around and wrote down the names of three spells on the blackboard. "Once you commit a crime using these spells, there will be a dark cell waiting for you in Azkaban. Oh - the guards there are stricter than before. Even if Sirius Black goes in again, he won't be able to escape a second time."

Gloria didn't react, and Draco couldn't help rolling his eyes.

Moody, who was writing on the blackboard, suddenly shouted, "Malfoy! What did I say, respect your professor!"

Not only Draco, but other students were also shocked.

Gloria held the boy's hand, and Professor Moody threw away the chalk. "Don't do anything tricky in my class." He pointed to the blue artificial eye, "I can see everything clearly."

He was very satisfied with the fear on the faces of these students. He grabbed a spider from a glass bottle and said, "You may not feel deeply about the three unforgivable curses when I tell you about them, so I want to demonstrate in person why they are defined as unforgivable curses."

The students in the front row almost leaned back after hearing this, wishing they could leave the front row and go to the back.

Professor Moody sneered, "Don't worry, the curse won't fall on you." He placed the spider in his palm, "First of all, there's the Imperius Curse. Well... this curse caused a lot of trouble for the Ministry of Magic back then. For example, after the disappearance of the You-Know-Who, some of the purged wizards claimed that they were under the control of the Imperius Curse, but I know they are all lying! Especially a certain cunning guy."

The blue fake eye turned to Draco, and it was obvious who he was referring to, and Draco pursed his lips tightly.

"Imperio!"

The spider was staggering and could not stand steadily. With a tap of Moody's wand, it floated in the air, juggling its legs like a puppet.

"If I cast the Imperius Curse successfully, I can make it do anything, such as entangle itself with spider silk or crawl into someone's mouth." Professor Moody laughed crazily, "I can also make it attack anyone!"

As the words fell, the spider landed on the head of a student in the front row, "Ah——!"

The student screamed in fear, but the spider continued its movements. She wanted to catch the spider but was afraid to touch it because she knew it was poisonous from its color.
