Chapter 109 Countermeasures
Chapter 109 Countermeasures
Harry told his companions about his conversation with Sirius. Whether it was that Headmaster Karkaroff had once been a Death Eater, or that the Death Eaters had become more and more active recently, or that an official from the Ministry of Magic had disappeared in the forest suspected to be Voldemort's hiding place, and so on, these news surprised his companions very much.
But the most important thing to worry about right now is the first Triwizard Tournament between Aeris, Harry and Draco.
"Sirius was just about to tell me how to deal with the dragon when Fred and George came back," Harry couldn't help but complain in a low voice at the dining table, "He said that it only takes a very simple method..."
"These two idiots," Ron also complained, "are more likely to cause trouble than to help..."
"Go to the DA cabin after breakfast," Aeris said, "I'll go inform Draco and Cedric. They don't know the news yet."
Aris quickly finished his breakfast, stood up and walked towards the Hufflepuff table.
Cedric was surrounded by a group of Hufflepuff students who were discussing something intensely. When they saw Aeris approaching, many of them looked at him with hostility.
"What are you doing here?" Ernie McMillan asked bluntly.
Aeris' lips moved, and he sent a message directly into Cedric's mind: "Come to the DA cabin later, alone, for something important."
Aeris gave an awkward but polite smile, nodded to Cedric, and turned to walk towards the Slytherin table.
"Why is he so strange?" Justin Finch-Fletchley asked puzzledly.
When Aris came to the Slytherin table, the Slytherin students did not show hostility like the Hufflepuff students.
Draco was talking quietly to Pansy, and when Aeris tapped Draco on the shoulder, Draco was startled.
Pansy glared at Aeris in dissatisfaction, but Aeris ignored her and whispered in Draco's ear, "Come to the DA cabin after breakfast. It's important. Come alone."
Without waiting for Draco to ask, Aeris walked away on his own.
Arriving at the "DA Hut", Aris was just about to set up some decorations when there was a knock on the door.
Aeris opened the door and Luna stood outside.
"Good morning, Luna. Sorry, I'm not planning on organizing a defense team gathering this year," Aris said. "You know, I have to prepare for the Triwizard Tournament."
"Oh, I understand," Luna said, "I just miss you a little. It's strange that I'm a student of Ravenclaw, but the people I can call my friends are all in Gryffindor. My classmates in Ravenclaw College like to call me: crazy girl."
"Perhaps you would be better suited to Gryffindor," Aeris said. "Would you like to come in for a moment?"
"Of course," Luna said happily.
In the open space not far from the door, Eris used magic to light a bonfire. Because he often practiced magic in the "DA Hut", Eris would always prepare some tea sets here. When Eris waved, a tea table came over.
Aeris began to boil water and make tea. He cleared his throat and said, "Please come over, a house elf~"
With a crisp "crack", a house-elf appeared in front of Aris, wearing a large tea towel with the Hogwarts emblem printed on it.
The house elf bowed and said, "What can I do for you? Sir, Goko is at your service."
"Hello, Mr. Gok," said Aris politely, "We need some refreshments, and pudding would be the best."
"Of course, sir," Goko said happily, as if he was very happy to be respected by a wizard. "I will bring it to you right away."
Soon, Ge Ke brought a lot of tea and snacks, and some puddings, almost filling up the tea table.
By this time, the tea was ready. Aeris poured a cup of hot tea for Luna first and asked Gokko, "Would you like a cup of tea, Mr. Gokko?"
"No, kind sir," Gorko refused, "I still have work to do." He bowed to Aesius again, and with a crisp "crack", Gorko disappeared.
"I like this house-elf." Luna said, using a delicate spoon to put a spoonful of raisin pudding into her mouth and closed her eyes happily.
There was a knock on the door, and Aries opened it. Harry, Hermione, and Ron walked in, and were stunned to see the table full of snacks.
"Didn't we just have breakfast?" Hermione asked in confusion, looking at Luna who was sitting at the tea table.
"We might get hungry soon today," said Aeris. "It's better to be prepared. Would you like a cup of tea, Hermione?"
After waiting for a while, Cedric and Draco arrived one after another. Looking at the people drinking tea around the tea table, Draco stuffed a piece of cake into his mouth and said vaguely: "You called Diggory and me here just to invite us to have tea, Grindelwald."
"Not exactly," said Aris. "Harry and I know the content of the first game, so we called you here to share information and brainstorm on how to get through the first level."
"Oh?" Cedric said with interest, "What is it? Our first level."
Aeris took a sip of tea, smacked his lips, and said slowly: "Fire Dragon~"
"Cough cough cough..." Draco choked on his tea and kept coughing, "What the hell? Fire...fire...fire dragon? Are you kidding?"
"No," Aeris said, "I can't joke about this. There are six fire dragons, and each warrior has to deal with one. This is just my guess. We may have to rob something that the fire dragon is guarding."
"But how did you know that?" Cedric asked with a pale face, "I mean, we shouldn't know that..."
"Don't be silly, Cedric," Aerys said, "Cheating has always been one of the fine traditions of the Triwizard Tournament. Perhaps Professor Dumbledore would not bother to do that, but the other two schools will do whatever it takes to win. Madame Maxime and Headmaster Karkaroff already know about the existence of the dragon. Do you think they won't tell their warriors?"
Looking at the silent crowd, Aeris said, "Next Tuesday we will face an adult fire dragon that is at least fifty feet tall. Time is short. Does anyone have any suggestions?"
"The four of us have to use different methods to deal with the dragon," Aeris continued when no one spoke. "If the four of us use the same method, it will definitely be suspected by the judges. At least Madam Maxime and Headmaster Karkaroff will definitely make a big fuss about it."
"Don't keep me in suspense, Grindelwald," Draco said irritably, "You must have an idea, right? Otherwise you wouldn't have called us all here."
"These are just some immature suggestions," said Aris. "First of all, Harry, you have a broom that is considered to be top-notch in the entire wizarding world. Before the dragon can react, it shouldn't be more difficult to catch the Golden Snitch than to catch the dragon's object, right?"
"But they won't let me take my broom into the stadium..." said Harry dryly.
"Pudding is coming~" Aries pointed his magic wand at a small piece of pudding on the spoon in Luna's hand. The pudding flew towards Aries and was swallowed by Aries in one gulp. Luna looked at Aries with resentment in her eyes.
Harry suddenly realized. Aeris looked at Cedric and said, "Cedric, you can turn a stone or something else into an animal to attract the dragon's attention. This should not be difficult for you now. Then you can conjure up a tool to get the thing the dragon wants to protect. This requires your improvisation. Don't take that thing yourself. The area within a hundred feet around the dragon is a dangerous area."
Cedric nodded thoughtfully. Aeris looked at Draco who was expectant and said, "Draco, you can try the Disillusionment Charm. Hide yourself first, and when the time is right, use hypnotic magic to hypnotize the dragon, and then act accordingly."
"You are making things difficult for me, Grindelwald," Draco said excitedly, "I don't know anything you are saying..."
"I can teach you," Aeris said, "The hypnotic spell is very simple. The key is to aim at the dragon's eyes. The Disillusionment Charm is not difficult either."
"What about you, Aeris?" Hermione said. "How are you going to get through this?"
"A secret." Aeris smiled mysteriously, which made Hermione roll her eyes.
