Chapter 561:Call For War
Chapter 561:Call For War
Michael's eyes twitched slightly as he watched the scene unfold, and the calm expression on his face finally showed a visible crack while his gaze remained fixed on Ethan without moving away.
At first, he had thought this human was only favored by the Queen because of his looks, but now that thought felt almost ridiculous, and even a faint disbelief rose in his mind.
With just one look, he could tell something was wrong.
This man was not normal.
"…Below a hundred…" Michael muttered under his breath, and his fingers tightened slightly around his staff as his grip unconsciously firmed.
"And already a Divine Knight…"
A faint chill passed through him as he observed Ethan's aura, and a quiet realization slowly settled deep inside his mind.
He is certainly a monster among monsters.
Meanwhile, on the other side, the Orc forces were also shaken by what they had just witnessed, and their expressions turned uncertain as they exchanged glances with one another while trying to process what had just happened.
"Wasn't he at the Mythic stage?" one of them asked, and his voice carried confusion along with a hint of doubt.
"How did he become a Divine Knight?" another added, and his brows furrowed deeply while his eyes stayed locked on Ethan.
They began to whisper among themselves while trying to make sense of it, and some even questioned whether the information they had received was wrong or whether this was an entirely different person standing before them.
Ethan heard the murmurs, and a faint snort escaped his lips as his patience thinned.
He raised his hand slightly and beckoned toward them in a casual but provoking gesture.
"If you want to fight, then fight," he said, and his tone was calm but carried clear impatience that spread across the battlefield.
"Don't waste my time."
His words cut through the noise, and they landed heavily on the Orc side while making the atmosphere even more tense.
One of the Orc Divine Knights stepped forward immediately, and his expression turned cold while anger flickered clearly in his eyes.
"Since you want to die… come here," he growled, and his grip tightened around his sword while veins bulged slightly across his arm.
Without waiting any longer, he jumped forward, and his body shot through the air with immense force while his blade came down with terrifying speed.
SWISH!
He slashed his sword, and a massive arc of energy burst out from the strike, and it tore through the air while expanding rapidly as it moved forward like a wave of destruction.
The sword arc pulsed outward, and everything in its path began to break apart while the ground cracked deeply and nearby trees split under the pressure.
It was overwhelming.
But it was also predictable.
SWISH!
Ethan's figure blurred instantly, and his body seemed to split into multiple afterimages as he activated the Phantom Mirage technique, and several identical figures appeared across the sky while moving slightly differently.
The illusion spread wide, and it filled the area with confusing movements that made it difficult to tell which one was real.
The Orc Divine Knight's eyes narrowed sharply as he tried to track him.
"What—"
Before he could react properly, the sword arc tore through the illusions one after another, and each figure it hit shattered like glass while fading into nothingness.
But none of them were real.
The attack passed through everything.
And hit nothing.
"Where is he?" the Orc muttered, and his gaze shifted rapidly while scanning the surroundings in frustration.
For a brief second, he could not find him anywhere, and that brief moment of uncertainty was enough.
Then suddenly, a deep chill ran down his spine, and his body froze instinctively as a sense of danger gripped his mind tightly.
He looked up.
And what he saw made his eyes widen.
SWISH!
Ethan was already above him, and his presence loomed silently like a shadow of destruction.
A dense amount of aura gathered around his right arm, and it condensed tightly while forming into a scaled gauntlet that covered his fist completely.
The scales glowed faintly, and they looked solid and sharp as if they were forged from something far stronger than ordinary armor.
At the same time, flames wrapped around his arm, and they burned intensely while spiraling around his fist with rising heat.
Lightning followed immediately.
CRACK!
Arcs of lightning snapped across the flames, and the two forces compressed together while the air around his fist began to distort under the pressure.
The space itself trembled.
The energy was too dense to ignore.
Ethan did not pause, and his expression remained calm as if everything was under control.
He clenched his fist.
And then he struck.
BOOOOOOM!
The punch came down like a falling meteor, and the air shattered under the force while a loud sonic rupture exploded outward and spread across the sky.
The space seemed to crack as the attack tore through it, and a massive shockwave spread instantly while pushing everything away from its path.
The ground below split apart violently, and debris lifted into the air under the pressure.
The Orc Divine Knight tried to react, and his body moved to raise his weapon in defense, but he was already too late to stop it.
The fist landed.
CRACK!
The impact shook him to his core, and his entire body trembled violently as the force blasted through him while his defenses collapsed instantly under the overwhelming power.
"Ghh—!" a broken sound escaped his mouth as his eyes lost focus for a brief moment.
BOOOOOOM!
His body was driven downward like a projectile, and he slammed into the ground with terrifying force while the land caved in instantly and formed a massive crater.
The earth split wide, and debris shot into the air while dust rose in thick clouds.
The shockwave spread across the battlefield, and even those standing far away were forced to step back under the pressure.
For a moment, no one spoke, and silence filled the battlefield while everyone stared at the destruction.
The dust slowly rose and spread, and at the center of it all, the Orc Divine Knight lay embedded deep within the ground, unable to move.
Above them, Ethan remained in the sky, and his arm still faintly crackled with the remnants of lightning and flame while his expression stayed calm and unchanged.
As if what he had just done was nothing at all.
