By the afternoon, there was still no news from Jiang Man.
Xiao Zheng rubbed his temples, feeling uneasy. He walked to the elevator and pressed the button for the 28th floor.
As soon as he walked out of the elevator, he bumped into Su Heng.
"Mr. Su." He greeted with a frown.
Su Heng glanced at him calmly, then remembered that this man had a good relationship with Jiang Man. "What's the matter?"
"Mr. Su, Jiang Man hasn't come back yet." He said directly.
Hearing this, Su Heng stared at him sharply, "What do you mean by not coming back?"
Xiao Zheng bit her lip, not as charming as usual, "Jiang Lu called her."
Jiang Man paced anxiously in the small box, feeling upset and beads of sweat oozing from his palms.
Her cell phone was taken away from her, and she didn't even have the chance to ask Su Heng for help.
Time seemed to freeze until the box door was suddenly pushed open.
Jiang Man looked up and saw Brother Dao approaching her with an angry face. "Bitch, how dare you call the police!" Before he finished speaking, he slapped Jiang Man hard in the face.
Jiang Man only felt a burning pain on his cheeks, and blood was oozing from the corners of his mouth.
"Well, since you're so unkind, don't blame me for being unjust!" Brother Dao roared, commanding the two men beside him, "Go ahead, strip her clothes off!"
When Jiang Man heard this, she made up her mind, grabbed the desk lamp and smashed it to the ground. She picked up the sharp glass fragments and pointed them at everyone. "Don't come over! Otherwise I will not be polite!" she shouted.
"Just your little tricks?" Brother Dao sneered and went into battle himself.
Jiang Man gritted her teeth and pressed the fragments tightly against her neck. "Don't force me. If I die, the police will definitely find out about you, and my man won't let you go!" She appeared calm on the surface, but her heart was beating like a drum.
"Hmph, why would I be afraid of your little cleverness? I have someone protecting me!" Brother Dao looked down on me and pressed on step by step.
Jiang Man closed his eyes and stabbed forward with the fragment in his hand without hesitation.
There were cries of surprise all around. Jiang Man opened his eyes and saw that he had stabbed Dao Ge in the chest by mistake, and blood gushed out.
Brother Dao widened his eyes, looked at his wound in disbelief, then looked at Jiang Man, "Come...come on!" He squeezed out a few words with difficulty.
"Who dares!" A steady and powerful voice came from outside the door.
Jiang Man looked up and saw Su Heng standing at the door, like a guardian god.
She blinked, and the heavy stone in her heart finally fell to the ground.
With a bang, Brother Dao fell to the ground due to excessive blood loss.
Jiang Man looked at his hands covered in blood in horror. The fragments fell out of his hands and his eyes turned red instantly.
Su Heng walked quickly to her side and said, "Don't be afraid, I'm here."
"I... I killed someone." Jiang Man said this with trembling lips.
"It's okay, I'm here." Su Heng looked at her, his eyes full of heartache and determination.
"I killed someone, what should I do?" she repeated, squatting down, holding her head in her hands, and muttering helplessly to herself.
Seeing this, Dao Ge's men were ready to take action. "Dao Ge is dead, we must avenge him!"
Someone in the crowd shouted, and everyone picked up whatever was at hand and threw it at Jiang Man.
Su Heng hugged Jiang Man tightly and was hit hard on the back.
Warm blood dripped down his chin onto Jiang Man's face.
Jiang Man's pupils suddenly shrank, "Blood..." She looked up and saw Su Heng with a bleeding head.
Su Heng picked her up, grabbed a wooden stick, swept across the area, and cut a bloody path.
When he rushed out of the bar, Su Heng was already a little conscious.
Jiang Man hugged him tightly, tears streaming down her face.
"Don't cry, I'm fine." Su Heng forced himself to stay calm and comforted in a stern voice.
Jiang Man stopped crying after being yelled at by him. "Are you really okay?" she asked with sobs.
"Hehe, how could anything happen to me?" Su Heng forced a smile.
"You've lost a lot of blood." Jiang Man burst into tears. "Let's go to the hospital, okay?" she begged.
"Okay." Su Heng nodded and slowly closed his eyes.
He gently stroked Jiang Man's hair and said, "I'm sorry I'm late."
"It's not too late, not too late." Jiang Man shook his head repeatedly and anxiously stopped a car on the side of the road while carrying him on his back.
But when the drivers saw the blood all over his body, they all avoided him.
"Jiang Man." A familiar voice suddenly sounded.
Jiang Man looked in the direction of the voice and saw Lu Ziyin.
A glimmer of hope flashed in her eyes, as if she had grasped a life-saving straw.
She supported Su Heng and staggered to Lu Ziyin's car, "Mr. Lu, please help me."
Lu Ziyin looked at Su Heng, who was covered in blood, in surprise. "What's going on?"
"Please, save him quickly." Jiang Man had no time to explain and could only keep begging.
Lu Ziyin's eyes flickered and he nodded.
Jiang Man quickly helped Su Heng into the car.
The car sped towards the hospital. Jiang Man was wandering anxiously outside the ward. Lu Ziyin patted her shoulder and signaled her to be patient. She looked at him gratefully.
The doctor walked out of the ward and Jiang Man hurried to meet him. "Doctor, how is he?"
The doctor smiled and said, "The patient is fine, he just fell into a coma due to excessive blood loss."
Hearing this, Jiang Man finally breathed a sigh of relief and walked quickly into the ward.
Su Heng had woken up and was leaning on the bed looking at her. He also noticed Lu Zinyin behind her, and his face instantly darkened.
Jiang Man's nose felt sore and she walked to the bedside. "Am I a disaster star?" she asked self-reproachfully.
Su Heng smiled lightly and pinched her cheek hard, "I did it voluntarily."
Seeing this, Lu Ziyin tightened his jaw slightly, turned around and left silently.
"But why did they suddenly attack?" Su Heng turned his gaze to Lu Zinyin's back and asked thoughtfully.
Jiang Man's eyes flashed with doubt, "Didn't you call the police?"
"I didn't." Su Heng shook his head. "Who else knows about this?"
"Xiaolu." Jiang Man muttered to himself, shaking his head in disbelief, "It can't be Xiaolu's."
"Are you still unwilling to face reality?" Su Heng's voice was as cold and hard as ice, striking Jiang Man's heart hard.
Jiang Man closed her eyes and tears rolled down her cheeks. It turned out that everything had changed.
"Why? Why does she treat me like this? I'm her sister." Jiang Man said with difficulty.
"Human nature is complicated, and many things cannot be explained clearly." Su Heng sighed softly and stroked her hair gently, trying to comfort her.
Jiang Man remained silent, lying on the edge of the bed without saying a word.
"Raise your head and look at me." Su Heng looked at the back of her head and ordered softly.
Jiang Man slowly raised his head, his eyes slightly red.
"That's right, you haven't cried yet." Su Heng raised the corner of his mouth and patted her cheek gently as if teasing a pet.
Jiang Man sniffed, "I can still tell what is worth it and what is not."
"Then should I praise you?" Su Heng raised his eyebrows. Even though he was injured, his charm remained undiminished.
