Chapter 81: The Plot is Chaotic
Chapter 81: The Plot is Chaotic
Diablo found the most trembling place, inside the pyramid right in front of him.
It becomes lighter when you cross it, and heavier when you go further in.
"So, it's in here."
This pyramid is different from the one depicted in the comic book as a memory for the little girl. For example, the main entrance is different. In the comic book, it is neat and clean, with some man-made railings protecting the entrance, like a reconstructed pyramid.
The main gate in front of him was clearly more chaotic than the one in the comics, with no man-made structures, as if it were a wild, overlooked pyramid.
Diablo had paid meticulous attention to these details, all for this possible day.
"Let's go inside and take a look. There seem to be traces of the laborers still there, but why isn't it being repaired? As far as I know, they certainly don't lack the time and expertise to repair the pyramid complex..."
This pyramid complex is located in a relatively remote area, more than ten kilometers away from the city roads, with only some dilapidated buildings surrounding it.
Moreover, the tower complex was completely different from what Diablo had imagined; it was utterly chaotic.
"There's only one possibility: something happened inside, which is why they're afraid to come this way."
He entered the door, and because of the low height, he could only walk by squatting.
Inside were just some haphazardly placed yellow bricks, and not a single light. But upon closer inspection, it was discovered that oil lamps had once been hung on the walls, and there was a handrail in the front part of the opening, so these were traces of the laborers.
"A very uneven road..."
To explore these places, he naturally carried a flashlight. The flashlight shone on the walls, revealing them to be pitted and uneven, not showing signs of repair.
The place looked so eerie that Chen Miaowen wouldn't dare to go any further.
He suddenly thought of that time traveler, and it seemed he missed him a little.
"I wonder if that possible Stand really exists? If it does, then it's just a result of the manga..."
This sentence was actually recorded in the comic, leaving Chen Miaowen completely stunned.
"How would the boss know about this? A Stand from the manga? Does the manga also belong to the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure universe?"
He closed the diary, looking at it from left to right. It was just a diary he had never used before, a small notebook with his name on the cover.
The stand-in, Garuda Disaster, also quietly appeared behind him, stepped down from his back, pointed at the diary in his master's hand, and opened his mouth as if to say something.
"What do you want? Can't you talk? Using that giant blood-red spider?"
Although the diary clearly states that the Jaja Disaster cannot speak, the blood-red giant spider that his abilities manifest can do so, which is a loophole in the diary.
The spider-like plague shook its spider-eyed head, indicating that it could not do it again.
"Oh, then write it on paper."
Chen Miaowen indifferently handed it a pen, gesturing for it to write on the paper.
The spider calamity still shook its head.
Chen Miaowen frowned. He simply couldn't imagine that the monster in front of him was a Stand from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
It's one thing if the other person can't write, but it's quite strange that they have self-awareness yet can't communicate with you in your mind.
"You're just a monster, aren't you? A monster called 'Gazu Disaster Substitute'? You can't even speak or write?"
Chen Miaowen was happy to have a Stand ability, but he was indifferent to his Stand.
He admits he's hypocritical, because he genuinely can't bear to face this monster—the monster who stole his first kiss!
He couldn't possibly accept it; the thought of it disgusted him.
"What exactly are you trying to say?"
Unable to speak or write, Chen Miaowen was simply impatient, while his substitute, Jia Zhuzai, was getting rather anxious.
It squatted on the ground and started scratching its head and winking, because it didn't know how to express its thoughts.
"Never mind then, it won't necessarily make a difference if you say it."
So it disappeared, disappearing according to Chen Miaowen's will. This can be considered proof that the other party still falls into the category of a substitute.
"Come down for dinner."
Chen Yi called out from below, and Chen Miaowen also went out with his diary, ready to keep a close eye on the boss's movements at all times.
"Uh, my own diary is this interesting? And... who is Rongrong? Her name is quite cute."
His sister glanced at the diary in his hand as a matter of course. The diary recorded his and Rongrong's travel experiences, which, in Chen Miaowen's eyes, depicted the scene of Rongrong about to reach Egypt.
"We're almost there. Satellite data from SPW proves that the helicopter carrying the devil is not far from the Egyptian border, and it seems to have stopped moving."
Rongrong glanced at the driver, thought for a moment, and then spoke.
"Put me down there and then go back to the branch. If it's not the branch in Tunisia, please remind them that even if they find Diablo's location, they shouldn't take action on their own. Let me handle it."
"OK."
"Uh, I think I forgot to call Trish."
After dialing the number, he was immediately shocked by what the other party said: "The pilot is a traitor to SPW? You're fighting him now?"
Upon hearing this, the driver in front suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.
It was Giorno who secretly activated her ability: "You will be unable to betray SPW."
If the other party had betrayed them, they would probably have lost consciousness or disappeared here, but that's not actually the case.
"So, only that person is the traitor... Could it be a remnant of the zealots?"
Could the remnants of the zealots infiltrate SPW? He found it strange.
"I see... So, what's the current situation?"
"He was running, leaving a tooth, and I was chasing him."
Rongrong breathed a sigh of relief and continued, "If we can't catch up, then so be it. He couldn't even assassinate you, so he probably won't dare to mess with you again. We also need to be careful of his reinforcements. He might be a member of the Passion Organization. If we kill Diablo on the spot, Passion will collapse... So right now, we need to prioritize our own safety."
"OK."
Trish hung up the phone and sighed helplessly.
"Trish, we really can't catch him. He's in that powerful boat, his speed is far beyond our reach, and there's no transportation nearby. We also don't know where these sewers lead..."
"Okay, then let's contact the real SPW branch first, using the phone in the helicopter."
The comic then returns to the situation of the two princes.
They surfaced to make sure Diablo wasn't lying in wait, then went ashore.
"Could it be that they sensed the presence of the other arrows? After all, that cursed arrow also came from Egypt."
Hol Hols stepped onto familiar ground, recalling all his experiences there, remembering his Lord Dio, and Granny Enya who collected the arrows.
"Very likely. Don't you remember his conversation with Joe? It seems that insect arrows are the kind of arrows he needs most."
......
"Uh, why is the manga's plot so chaotic? It jumps between the eastern and western storylines, doesn't it affect the reading experience? Is there even an author involved?"
"What did you say?"
"It's nothing."
