"No, no...I..."
Yelena's face was still flushed. She took several deep breaths before her complexion returned to normal. The young woman tossed her hair aside, lowered her voice, and spoke slowly in a mature tone:
“Senior, I have no right to obstruct you, so just answer one question for me and I will immediately make way.”
"explain."
Spare, too lazy to waste words, yawned, leaned against the wall, and gazed at Yelena with a smile.
Yelena smiled, but her eyes were much more serious:
"There are so many things in this universe that need to be protected, and only the company's financial and material resources can do that. But you're leaving the company for a few ordinary employees. Is it worth it?"
"Huh? Is that your question?"
Spall paused for a moment, feeling that the question was too simple, and parted his lips slightly, trying to laugh out loud.
But when he turned his head and saw Yelena's serious expression, his smile vanished instantly, his face hardened, and he looked around at all the employees in the office.
"From joining the company to climbing to a high position, we have gone through more than a decade... The employees have been with me day and night and have long become like family."
I ask you! What right does someone who can't even protect their family have to protect the universe? And…”
Spall glanced at Yelena, and seeing the girl standing there in a daze, he ignored her, pushed her aside, and walked towards the door.
Spall continued speaking only after he had left the office:
"I'm a pretty easygoing person, and I can laugh off many things, but human life is never something to joke about!"
After saying that, Spah waved and left gracefully, leaving behind only his tall figure in Yelena's eyes.
Yelena remained standing there, stunned. After a long while, she finally came to her senses and muttered to herself:
"Family? This human touch... In this high-pressure environment at the company, how many years has it been since we last saw each other?"
Yelena muttered to herself, feeling her cheeks burning again. She stomped her feet, clenched her fists, and ran to her desk.
……
The memories quietly came to an end.
"Poetry Companion" has finished playing. The thumping beat in my headphones once again evoked the surging melody.
Green Day's signature song, "Holiday".
Spare shook his head to bring his thoughts back to reality, then looked down and found that the bag of snacks in his hand was empty.
What's worse is that the ground is piled with packaging bags; there are more than twenty bags right at Spa's feet.
In an instant, Spah felt a sense of unease. He turned around and found the refrigerator door wide open, with snacks, vegetable leaves, fish bones... clattering all over the floor.
However, the refrigerator was completely empty; there was nothing inside.
Oh no!
I tend to eat a lot when I'm thinking, and my stomach doesn't even realize it... boohoo
Spah clutched his stomach, which was only slightly swollen, but he didn't feel overeating at all.
Sigh, there's no other way. I'll have to go to the Black Tower Space Station to resupply... Knowing Estelle's temperament, she probably won't mind.
The staff meals there are comparable in quality to those at Pinocchio's upscale restaurants...slurp!
Spa licked his lips, saliva unconsciously dripping out. Just as he was immersed in imagining the delicious food, he suddenly felt a slight tremor in his body.
He was surprised and glanced out the window, noticing that the starry sky outside the spaceship had suddenly disappeared and been replaced by streaks of silver light.
Two seconds later, the band of light disappeared, and the stars came into view again, hanging in the dark universe, emitting a silvery-white light.
Was this the first leap?
Spall understood what was happening and immediately lost interest. He wasn't a kid going to space for the first time; warp jumps were commonplace for him.
He yawned, leaned against the refrigerator, and dozed off. However, before he could fall asleep, the spaceship shuddered again.
The second leap began.
After five consecutive jumps, Spa arrived in the airspace of Azure Star and saw the silver-white shell of the Black Tower Space Station in the distance.
Like its owner, the space station stands proudly in the dark sea of stars, like a cold-blooded guardian protecting the azure star below.
So handsome
Spall sighed, switched back to manual mode, and, guided by the autopilot, drove into the space station entrance.
As he passed through the entrance and stepped off the spaceship, he saw a blonde female clerk in the distance, wearing a standard white lab coat.
Upon seeing Spa's face, the clerk showed a surprised expression. Before Spa could react, he turned and ran away, shouting loudly.
Spare became curious and listened to what the clerk was saying.
The next second, his cheeks flushed red.
……
P.S.: I believe that even in the space station storyline, there are still many possibilities that predecessors have not explored. (The subsequent development will definitely be different from what everyone expects).
Chapter 5 Estella's Rumored Boyfriend
"Waaah... my boyfriend!"
Strange words escaped the female clerk's lips.
Spare tilted his head, started to catch up with the other person, but saw that the clerk was running faster and faster, muttering to himself:
"The station manager's boyfriend...is more handsome than in the photos."
The clerk blushed, covered his face, and ran away with his head down. Spall was too embarrassed to chase after him, scratching his head, full of suspicion.
Stationmaster... does that refer to Estádio? When did she start dating? And with which blond-haired guy?
and many more!
My boyfriend isn't referring to me, is he? No, that's not it...
Spall tried to explain, but the female clerk had already disappeared.
He could only shake his head, put aside the boring gossip, and start walking towards the main control module, observing the space station environment along the way.
The walls were silver-gray, but the ground was pitch black.
Various instruments were scattered about, emitting monotonous electronic sounds, as if one were in a tomb, cold and rigid.
However, despite the lack of vitality in the environment, the staff's enthusiasm for gossiping showed no signs of diminishing.
Spa walked along, his eyes darting around, only to see the clerks acting suspiciously and whispering amongst themselves.
Spall, intrigued, pricked up his ears and listened intently, only to find that it was all about him and Estádio:
"Do you know who this handsome guy who often comes to the space station is to Station Master Estella?"
"Isn't he her boyfriend?"
"Wrong! It's the stationmaster's cousin... whose purpose in coming to the space station is to swindle her family fortune!"
"Wait a minute... I heard from Bo Shao that this guy is Aisda's mother's new male lover..."
The gossip got more and more ridiculous, and Spah even heard the absurd claim that he was Estella's biological father.
Although Spah had good self-control, receiving so much random information still made his cheeks burn, and he subconsciously quickened his pace.
Dada! Dada!
The leather boots clattered on the ground one after another.
Before long, Spa entered the main control section and saw Estella standing there in the distance, gently tossing her long pink hair.
The girl wore a white robe that revealed her fair, jade-like shoulders, but her lower body was clad in a short, jet-black skirt. She stood gracefully, a gentle smile on her face, and was chatting with a male clerk.
The clerk's demeanor was far inferior to Estádio's.
Although he was considered handsome, he had an afro and an exaggerated, theatrical expression.
Capote... also known as Bosh
A embroidered pillow. I really hate my grandpa!
Spas silently recited the man's name, frowned, and, unwilling to care about the content of the other person's chat, glanced at Estella's back.
He saw a long white table with colorful snacks laid out on it. Spahic's eyes widened instantly.
Spall licked his lips, instinctively moving closer to the overflowing pile of snacks. But he stopped after only a few steps, as Capote's booming voice rang in his ears:
"That's why I said... the World Species Department is underfunded and should stop research on Wuwubo. Even that country bumpkin named Rong Cangzhong should be sent to clean toilets as soon as possible..."
Why bother dividing research into different levels?
Before he could finish speaking, Spa couldn't stand it anymore. He deliberately stomped his foot heavily on the ground, took a step forward, and walked to the side of the two.
Capote turned his head, raised his eyebrows, and looked displeased.
Estella was also a little unhappy, pouting and moving her head away.
But when she caught a glimpse of Spa's face, her expression instantly lit up with joy, her legs buckled, and she instinctively lunged forward.
However, the next second, Estelle restrained her impulse, took a deep breath, slightly pursed her lips, and put on a proper smile.
There were other people watching.
It's just been a while... since I've seen Spah.
You need to learn to stay calm, Estádio!
The girl rolled her eyes, took another deep breath, and smiled as she spoke, "Spago, long time no see! Did you catch that guy?"
Spall shook his head.
"Well... it hasn't been easy for you either, but don't be discouraged. You've traveled the stars these past few years, saving countless lives. You're incredibly strong. Keep it up! Keep it up!"
Estelle grinned, revealing her pearly white teeth. Even with people around her, she couldn't help but clench her fist and wave it.
The next second, she noticed countless strange looks.
The girl turned her head and saw that all the staff in the cabin had stopped working and were looking in her direction. Her face turned red instinctively.
Estelle chuckled dryly, turned her head back, and stared into Spa's eyes, looking into his amber pupils, but didn't know how to speak.
Noticing Estelle's embarrassment, Spall sighed softly, grabbed the snack bag beside him, tore open the packaging, and then grinned:
"Let's get down to business. What trouble did we run into?"
As Spah questioned Estelle, a smile remained on his lips, but his eyes darted around as he pondered her predicament:
Could it be... that her elders are up to some trick again? Honestly, that rotten maggot deserves to be taught a lesson!
Spah clenched his fist, making a squeaking sound.
"I want you to help me find Peipei."
Estelle blushed slightly and spoke softly.
"Huh? Peipei?"
Upon hearing the unexpected answer, Spall was slightly stunned, his mind not quite processing it. He grabbed a handful of snacks and stuffed them into his mouth.
It took him quite a while to finish the whole bag of snacks before he remembered that Pepe was Aistar's pet dog.
Oh my gosh!
You called me over just to find a dog?
Spall blinked, raised an eyebrow, and glanced at Estella with a questioning look, only to see the girl gesturing wildly, talking and speaking at the same time:
"Let me tell you! The space station's cameras were all broken during Professor Black Tower's last experiment... It's very difficult to pinpoint Pepe's location."
I wouldn't feel comfortable entrusting it to anyone else. I thought about it for a long time, and realized that Spa's ability to find things was the strongest in the entire universe…
"Thank you for the compliment! But I've always hated dogs."
Spall yawned, rubbed his sleepy eyes, put his hands in his pockets, and turned to leave.
However, Estelle reacted quickly, stepping forward, grabbing Spall's sleeve, and pouting her cherry-like lips:
"Please, Spago, if you promise to help, the commission will be substantial! At least five billion credits!"
Five...five billion credits?
The children of the Grand Duke of the Underworld are only worth this much money.
