Chapter 63: Hogsmeade Encounters
Chapter 63: Hogsmeade Encounters
Autumn has arrived, and the streets of Hogsmeade are filled with red maple leaves. Loila's boots rustle as she walks on them.
It felt like walking on a sandy beach... Loila thought to herself, and then tried her best not to pay attention to the students walking around her.
Good morning, Hagrid!
Good morning, Professor Hamilton.
These were the students' greetings, but to Loila, they sounded like an Imperius curse. She shrank back, trying to keep herself from fainting from the tension behind the silver mask.
However, it seemed that the students were all busy with their own things, and most of them just greeted him. Occasionally, a student who wanted to chat with Hagrid would be sent away by him.
"I feel like Miss Hamilton, you should be in a hurry to buy medicine, shouldn't you?" Hagrid said, scratching his head. "Those kids keep asking questions."
"Ah... thank you... thank you..." Loila whispered her thanks to Hagrid, but her gaze was more focused on Axe.
"What's wrong with that?" Hagrid said with a smile. "You're a friend of Professor Dumbledore, and you're also a professor at Hogwarts."
Dumbledore and I are not friends at all!
Loila quickly shook her head and said, "I... Deng and I..."
"We've arrived!" Hagrid's loud voice interrupted Loila; they seemed to have reached their destination.
"Most students buy their medicine here, and Professor Snape sometimes does too," Hagrid said, bending down and carefully pushing open the door to go inside.
This is a herbal medicine shop...it looks very rustic...and you can smell a faint herbal aroma.
This made her feel a little more relaxed...
However, the relaxation only lasted until she entered the house. As she followed Hagrid into the house, his scrutinizing gaze immediately swept over her.
"Good morning, Mrs. Trott." Hagrid greeted the owner of the gaze, drawing away the unsettling stare.
Loila was able to slightly raise her head and glance at the owner of the shop.
She was a middle-aged woman who looked a bit bloated. She was wearing a slightly tattered robe, had a headscarf tied around her head, and her messy hair, which resembled that of a hunchback, was mixed with a few weeds.
It looks...it has a very rustic feel to it...
"Ah, Hagrid, good morning." She rolled her eyes and leaned against the counter without any emotion.
"You shouldn't have come here today," she said, glancing at Loila. "And you shouldn't have brought such a strange student with you."
"Ah, you mean Miss Hamilton?" Hagrid said with a smile. "She's not a student; she's the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts."
"A professor?" Mrs. Troe raised an eyebrow and said, "He's the most student-like professor I've ever met."
"Does Hogwarts still hire child laborers?"
How dare you talk like that! I'm clearly an adult! In fact, I'm older than you!
Loila really wanted to tell the woman in front of her that she should call her Professor Hamilton or Mrs. Hamilton!
But after thinking about it... she decided against it.
It's not because of shame, but simply because... this is the magnanimity that a member of the UMNO should have!
"So what do you want to buy?" Mrs. Tro asked casually, shaking her head. "I don't have any ingredients here to make honey tarts."
I'm really not a child!
Loila gritted her teeth and handed the note in her hand to Hagrid.
Hagrid paused for a moment, then handed the note to Mrs. Trout.
"Go left and then down the stairs..." Mrs. Troy stared at the note, startled. "What's this?"
"I...I gave the wrong thing!" Loila hurriedly took out another piece of paper from her bosom and put it on the table.
How could I be so stupid... I gave Hagrid the note Miss Granger wrote! Hagrid, you too! Didn't you even glance at it?
That has nothing to do with the medicine!
Loila poked Hagrid in the back with her wand... but clearly, the giant didn't feel it; he was just grinning at Loila.
"What an interesting joke... I never knew you had such a talent, Miss Hamilton."
Facing Hagrid's face, Royla revealed an awkward smile beneath her pale mask.
Haha, isn't that funny?
I should have used the Crucifixion Charm when I poked you with my wand...
"Tsk..." Mrs. Trott clicked her tongue as she picked up the note again, saying, "It's actually wolfsbane potion?"
"Are you the new Potions Professor at Hogwarts?"
"Severus Snape actually resigned," she said thoughtfully. "I quite liked him."
"Professor Snape isn't going to resign," Hagrid said, somewhat surprised.
"You actually like Professor Snape?" Loila muttered in surprise.
Then she quickly covered her mouth... How could she have suddenly blurted it out...?
Fortunately, no one heard her faint, mosquito-like mutterings.
And Professor Snape was actually quite nice... at least he told me where to find the book on wolfsbane and where to buy things in Hogsmeade...
Yes, I want to learn from you and try to like Professor Snape as well.
I could even be friends with him... I think that's possible, right?
Loila, you're getting cocky with just two friends... You should accept anyone who's willing to be your friend, okay?
Of course, Dumbledore must be excluded!
Oh, and Newt Scamander! Don't think I've forgotten you! The guy who plays Fantastic Beasts!
"oh!"
Loila suddenly felt an itch in her palm. She instinctively pulled her hand away, and then she realized it was Ya Ya.
It's licking its hand again...
If you're really hungry, eat Hagrid... he looks like he can hold his food... and he was really annoying when he was talking just now.
As Loila was lost in thought, the shop door was pushed open again.
"Good morning, Mrs. Trout!"
The two people who entered the house said in unison, "We've come to buy some miraculous medicinal herbs!"
They were two people who looked exactly alike... Loila recognized them.
George Weasley and Fred Weasley... they're on Loila's disciplinary list.
They've broken the headband twice already.
"Ah, Hagrid?" George raised an eyebrow at Hagrid. "You're here."
"Oh, and Professor Hamilton too!" Another Fred spotted Loila standing behind Hagrid.
"Good morning, Professor." He gave a slightly comical gentlemanly bow and tugged at George beside him.
"Yes, good morning!" George also gave a gentlemanly bow.
"..."
Loila's lips twitched slightly as if she wanted to say something, but in the end she just nodded gently.
These two people were the type she feared most... the kind who were overly enthusiastic and familiar with others...
He's even more over-the-top than Hagrid... naturally outgoing.
"Professor Hamilton and I are here to buy some things." Hagrid shrugged and smiled, seemingly quite familiar with George and Fred.
He even reached out and patted them on the shoulder.
"Are you two buying weird stuff again to make prank props?"
"Of course not!" "Absolutely not!"
George and Fred spoke in unison and then looked at Loila.
They both smiled at the same time.
"We've only heard about Lockhart..." George said, shrugging and looking at Fred.
"We need to form a dueling club," Fred continued.
"So we decided to give him some fun," they both said in unison. "That'll definitely be interesting."
"100%!"
"Professor Hamilton, you absolutely must come and see this."
"Ah, she'll definitely come." George slapped Fred on the shoulder. "Have you forgotten?"
"Lohart did say that Professor Hamilton would be a teaching assistant."
what?
Loila's blue eyes behind her mask widened in surprise.
Did Professor Hamilton herself know about this?
