Chapter 248 Iron-Fisted Friend
Chapter 248 Iron-Fisted Friend
The shadow rake was taken back to the junkyard. Rosa originally wanted to play with it, but the repair pipe was of such poor quality that it shattered with a single punch.
This caused the Shadow Rake to fall directly out of the maintenance pipe, which Drift saw. She couldn't knock Drift unconscious, nor could she physically erase his memory or prevent him from ever speaking again.
What else can we do but survive?
Drift seemed to still be shaken by the scene; when he returned to the junkyard, he just stared blankly at the master who was making a ruckus and shouting that he wanted to enter the hibernation chamber.
The shadowy figure pointed at Rosa and yelled that she was a monster, that she was not just a Transformer, but a monster.
Yes, I was indeed quite frightened.
Although Bumblebee repeatedly insisted that prisoners not be mistreated, Rosa still slapped Shadow Rake because he was too noisy.
It's much quieter now...
Although the shadow rake was now trembling, who cared? Rosa threw him into the hibernation pod, dusted herself off, and went back to work.
She and Bumblebee were planning to go out that night, but unexpectedly, another plane came that night.
In the darkness, a blue-green light suddenly flashed somewhere in the junkyard. Something should have been transmitted from there, and even the junkyard's radar detected it, but it looked like nothing was there.
It's weird, isn't it?
Bumblebee was standing in front of the land bridge, pondering where to go out with Rosa tonight, when the alarm suddenly sounded at the Tomb of Ai, breaking the tranquility.
Ai's Tomb quickly located the intruder's position, forcing Bumblebee and his team to temporarily put aside their work and flank the intruder from both sides.
At opposite ends of the passage, they only saw each other and no one else.
"No trace of the intruder was found. What could have triggered this..." Bumblebee didn't see any trace of the intruder, but Rosa did. Just as Bumblebee was explaining the situation to Blackface via the communication tool, Rosa tapped Bumblebee's shoulder armor.
"What's wrong?" Bumblebee turned his head in confusion and saw Rosa staring straight ahead.
They split into two teams, flanking from both sides, but saw no enemy aircraft. Rosa... she actually pulled out her gun and pointed it directly at the other team in front of her.
"Whoa! Wait a minute!" Steellock panicked when he saw Rosa pointing her gun at them, but Rosa saw something invisible and moving between the two teams.
She could only make out that it was a vague human shape, because there were some unnatural little flickers at the edges in certain places.
"Rosa, what are you doing? Put down the weapon—" "Let's be honest... what do you think?" Bumblebee was about to reach out and pull Rosa's arm down when he heard Rosa's strange words.
His trust in his girlfriend made him stop the gun he was about to use to pull down her arm. His hand remained suspended in mid-air as he slowly turned his head to look at the other aircraft opposite him...
"No, no! Wait, how could I be an undercover agent?" Grimlock didn't react because he was facing Rosa, and the gun was now pointed at him.
"Bang!" A gunshot rang out, but for some reason, Rosa pointed the gun at the ground.
"Aren't you going to show yourself?" With a click, Rosa took a step forward, this time pointing her gun directly at the other party's head sculpture.
This was her final warning. She had roughly determined the location of the woman's head from the vague shape. Now that the gun was pointed at her forehead, even the dumbest person would know that the woman was definitely talking about her.
Sure enough, the next second the other party appeared, a purplish-red female machine and a young man who looked about the same size as Iron Fist.
The moment Iron Fist saw the other person, his optics snapped open, and he quickly ran to Rosa's side and moved her gun away.
"Wait, don't fire! I know her!" Iron Fist hurriedly pulled the other person behind him again. Rosa saw that the other person had the Autobot symbol on her, although it was damaged. But since she was one of their own, there was no problem.
She tucked the gun back into her arm, and Iron Fist, seeing this, breathed a sigh of relief and pulled the "Autobot" aside to introduce him to everyone.
“This is Nightshade, my best friend from the Cahn Police Academy... but we lost contact afterward.” Nightshade nodded, agreeing with Iron Fist’s statement.
“I heard that Iron Fist is doing very well with Bumblebee and has arrested a lot of prisoners, so I came to see you.” Nightshade’s words made sense, but there was still something suspicious about them.
After all, if she really only came to see Iron Fist, she should have already deactivated her invisibility and appeared directly in front of him to find him.
Instead of waiting until Rosa's gun was already pointed at the opponent's faceplate before disarming.
However, through the many iron-fisted things Nightshade revealed about the police academy, it becomes clear that Nightshade is definitely real.
Nightshade, there might be a problem.
The fact that she also carried a stealth device made it even more suspicious.
"You mean this? This is the Illusionary Light." Nightshade picked up the spherical object on her body and demonstrated by pressing it. Instantly, the refracted light concealed her figure.
"I discovered it on Luna 1. This was a backup plan in case it was discovered by Earthlings." The statement was barely plausible, but there were still some oddities.
At least out of respect for his iron-fisted approach, the suspicion will be temporarily cleared, but only temporarily.
“Your identity signal is also unusual; it seems somewhat unstable.” Blackface inquired as well, and was told that her Autobot badge was missing a nut.
This explanation is also valid, because Iron Fist confirmed that it was caused by Nightshade saving her when they almost got into trouble before.
Since Iron Fist seems to get along well with Nightshade, and they are aware of what happened before, there shouldn't be too many problems, right?
Rosa still felt uneasy. If they went out tonight, one of the team's strongest members would run away, and the other leader, Bumblebee, would also be missing.
If something goes wrong... can they cover for it...?
Rosa and Bumblebee exchanged a glance, both seeing Anxin through each other's optical lenses. After hesitating for a moment, they decided to cancel their date for the night and leave Anxin to oversee things in the junkyard.
As for when to go out? We'll decide after we're sure Nightshade is alright.
Nothing happened that night; Iron Fist even took Nightshade along on night patrol.
It seems there shouldn't be any problems at the moment.
Before resting that night, Rosa was polishing and repairing his shattered armor in his hands while Bumblebee picked him up and held him in his arms.
But soon, a message came through the internal communication that Nightshade had come to Earth because of a fugitive, Shockwave.
She said she was framed for cheating on a test when she was in police academy and was expelled. Now she is working as a bounty hunter.
