Chapter 128 Optimus Prime Rises from the Dead
Chapter 128 Optimus Prime Rises from the Dead
Bumblebee was still on patrol today, but this time he brought a new intern with him. Because he was a newcomer, he was still called a trainee police officer.
Her name is Iron Fist, and she's currently on patrol with Bumblebee until they received a report from command that there seemed to be something going on nearby.
There's something going on at Central Park under the highway; they need to go check it out.
The two policemen jumped off the highway, deformed on the ground below, and then landed steadily.
"Police Cadet Iron Fist, ready to go at any time!" Bumblebee said, picking up the police-issued pistol and pointing it at a blue and white female Cybertronian whose form was a police car.
Cybertron now prohibits the carrying of highly dangerous weapons; guns are only permitted to be carried by police officers or law enforcement agencies.
"It's an honor to work for you!" Iron Fist excitedly pulled out his sidearm and continued running after Bumblebee.
“You know, you’ve worked with Optimus Prime before!” Iron Fist said as he followed Bumblebee to the mission location.
"So?" Bumblebee seemed to be just making small talk, his attention focused on being wary of potential dangers, just like when he was a scout.
"Well, after doing so much for Cybertron, it's really beyond my expectations that you guys are still willing to be patrol officers," Iron Fist said, while Bumblebee just sighed helplessly.
Who understands his heartache...?
Bumblebee glanced at the target location, which was Central Park, the place where Optimus Prime and all the members of the Leader's Guard stood.
The situation reported from the command center was right here. Bumblebee walked over with Iron Fist and saw a familiar red sports car speeding around near the statue.
This is still a place where you are not allowed to use vehicle mode to rampage around.
Bumblebee sighed again, pressed down on Iron Fist and raised the gun aimed at Sideswipe.
He was very familiar with that red sports car; it was called Sideswipe, and it often sped and violated traffic rules in places where vehicle mode was not allowed.
However, he is not a bad person at heart.
Bumblebee was about to say something, but his attention was immediately drawn to the pool in Central Park, where he saw Optimus Prime's figure.
This isn't a reflection; it's the real Optimus Prime, and he has color in the water.
Iron Fist, seeing Bumblebee say there was something in the water, looked but saw nothing, and assumed Bumblebee was hallucinating from exhaustion, so he decided to go after Sideswipe himself.
As a result, Sideswipe was thrown out and accidentally crashed into Optimus Prime's statue. In an instant, the statue's leg cracked, and when it fell, it almost hit Bumblebee.
Fortunately, he was alright. He had just learned, through Optimus Prime's guidance, that Optimus Prime wanted him to go to Earth.
Seeing that Iron Fist had finally caught Sideswipe, Bumblebee told them to go back to the police station first and then headed in the direction Optimus Prime had indicated.
It was a Cybertronian history museum. After declining the guide map at the front desk, Bumblebee went straight inside to find the location of the Space Bridge.
This should be the only space bridge on Cybertron. Cybertron is currently in the recovery phase and does not have the resources or personnel to rebuild a space bridge.
Unexpectedly, when he found the Space Bridge, Iron Fist also brought Sidewinder along. The reason was that, according to the rules, if a patrol operation was changed, a senior officer must be present, with no exceptions.
She meant that she had to follow Bumblebee now because Sideswipe hadn't been delivered to the police station yet.
In short, for some reason, the three of them still managed to reach Earth via the space bridge.
Furthermore, the Space Bridge is closed, so they can't go back, and Sideswipe has escaped.
Ultimately, they had no choice but to chase after Sideswipe first. On the way, they saw an unexpected figure: an orange Mini-King.
There was also a damaged spaceship, which looked like it had crashed. The orange miniature robot explained that his name was Blackface God, and the crashed spaceship was called "Tomb of Ai".
The Tomb of Aia was used to hold the most dangerous Decepticon prisoners on Cybertron, but it has now crashed on Earth, and all the prisoners have escaped.
Even the only intact cryogenic hibernation pod had freezing problems, and the prisoners inside were struggling to shake the cylindrical pod.
Just then, the spaceship's tracking system activated. Although it couldn't locate the chip inside the fugitive's body, it was able to locate a Cybertronian's life signal.
Realizing that it might be Sideswipe, Bumblebee immediately took Iron Fist to find Sideswipe. Upon finding Sideswipe, they discovered that he had already exposed his identity to an Earthling in less than an hour.
It was a little boy. When Sideswipe first saw him, he was startled by the native species of Earth. Then a Decepticon in dinosaur form appeared.
The Decepticon said his name was Fang, and he ate up Nunn on Cybertron, then started chasing Sideswipe and his crew.
Fangs grows stronger by absorbing metal, and now Sideswipe is carrying the little boy he just met while they were running away.
The three Transformers escaped to the crash site of the Tomb of Ai, but Fang followed them. He not only released another Decepticon still in its hibernation pod, but also saw the metal scrap yard at the foot of the mountain.
Bucktooth was still heading towards the junkyard, but that wasn't the worst of it. They even saw the Decepticon that had been released... However, the Decepticon didn't seem to have any intention of attacking them, so it wasn't too bad, was it?
In short, none of them, including the Decepticon named Grimlock who was released, could defeat Fang in the junkyard.
They, this group of aliens, were also seen by the human boy's father, Danny, and the boy's name was Russell. Furthermore, Bucktooth also saw a nearby city, Crown City.
Bucktooth charged toward Crown City, while Blackface handed over a Decepticon hunting device and informed him that a cryogenic hibernation pod had been repaired.
Then Bumblebee led the team, Iron Fist scanned the vehicles, and Bumblebee and Steel Cable went to intercept them. Afterwards, Sideswipe, which had also scanned the vehicles, pulled a carload of decoys and lured Fang to the edge of the cliff.
Even with everyone ramming together, they couldn't knock him off the mountain, and he even managed to get the food. A single, powerful attack sent everyone flying, and in that critical moment, Optimus Prime suddenly came back to life (what a description! -_-)
Optimus Prime's spirit pushed Fang off the mountain, and everyone saw it. Optimus Prime then gave a few final instructions, telling Bumblebee to continue the challenge.
It's time for Bumblebee to take the lead. Optimus Prime can't guarantee they'll meet again in the future. After that, the spirit disappears, and everyone goes down to take the knocked-out Bucktooth back to the newly repaired hibernation pod.
Having arrived here, we now have a complete understanding of Danny and his son. Bumblebee and his crew are also preparing to move their command center here. Bumblebee has temporarily given Steel Cable a suspended sentence, which means he can join them in their efforts to capture fugitives.
(P.S.: Because some readers might not have read the sequel to Leader's Proof, The Leader's Challenge, I'm using this chapter as a transition (at least you should know the basic characters from The Leader's Challenge, right?)
