Transformers: Leader's Proof - Fragile, but Hard to Kill

Chapter 22, I would call it, One-Punch Man.

Chapter 22, I would call it, One-Punch Man.

The ambulance driver recently discovered Rosa's academic talent, and he stared thoughtfully at the computer case Rosa was building by hand. (Inherited from Menye and Uzi)

Oh right, she also has a knack for aesthetics. Looking at the ambulance, the outer armor she crafted herself shows she's really good with her hands (her aesthetic sense is inherited from N).

These were all discovered when the ambulance driver knocked on the door to look for Rosa. He had actually planned to give Rosa a simple psychological test that day, but his attention was temporarily diverted to other things.

It's a pity Rosa is a warrior, but he should be able to try to train her in his spare time. Although he hasn't fully figured out who Rosa's other half is yet, he can't give up on such a good prospect.

Ratchet glanced at Optimus Prime beside him, pondering how to speak to him. Then, Ratchet briefly tested the exoskeleton Rosa had made herself. Its sturdiness was barely acceptable; it was indeed suitable for Rosa, perfectly compensating for the relatively brittle nature of her metal. She could wear it on her next mission...

Although he had already guessed why Rosa's metal was relatively brittle—a hybrid of flesh and machine with an extremely fast regeneration rate? How hard could her metal possibly be?

Then the ambulance was proven wrong.

The hardness didn't disappear; it simply transferred to Rosa's knife and claws, including her wings, though they were unaware they had wings, and Rosa didn't bother to explain.

When the ambulance driver briefly taught Rosa how to inspect her weapon, she was almost dumbfounded. She discovered that its hardness was almost on par with the hardest metal ever discovered on Cybertron.

After a moment of silence, and under Rosa's questioning gaze, "Why are you suddenly not talking or moving?", the ambulance finally began to conduct psychological tests on Rosa.

The leader will be present during this test and will consult with the ambulance team based on Rosa's performance. The ambulance isn't a psychologist; he can only assess Rosa's condition using Cybertronian testing methods to determine if she has any serious issues. After all, the thought of someone tearing out their own spark with their bare hands is...

Fortunately, nothing serious happened. After packing up, the ambulance and Optimus Prime left, each going about their own business. The ambulance still had work to do, such as repairing the land bridge.

Ever since the land bridge control panel was bitten by the iron-eating bug, it has had some poor contact, and the ambulance needs to be adjusted.

Rosa thought about it in her room, picked up her old notes on the principles of land bridge teleportation, and began to study them.

She had no idea what was happening outside. When someone on the inside called her out, she arrived in the lobby to find the land bridge blown up and a TF she'd never seen before had appeared.

“Come on, swindler, meet my other good friend, Meiqi. She’s a little devil.” Meiqi stood up and waved to Jack.

"The partition is a hassle, can you keep an eye on it?"

"I'll try my best, but trouble always seems to come knocking." Meiqi sighed, hands on her hips, while 'Jack' (her nickname) turned back with a smile. "I'll get along well with her."

It was only when he turned around that 'Jack' noticed Rosa. She had a very nice face and a perfect figure, but it was hard to tell whether she was a wheel or a flyer. She was probably a non-shapeshifter.

It's a bit of a pity. It seems she's not a warrior. She's pretty, but she looks too delicate, like a vase.

"This is Rosa, one of the more special ones among us Autobots. Don't let her non-transformer status fool you, she's incredibly fierce in a fight," the partition explained to 'Jack'. 'Jack' raised an eyebrow, seemingly skeptical. No problem, he'll learn his lesson after Rosa punches him one day.

"Hello," Rosa greeted politely, thus establishing an acquaintance. To be honest, she was more interested in finding an ambulance to investigate the land bridge, so she ignored them. However, for some reason, she felt that he was acting strangely.

The discussion with the ambulance driver, and the ambulance driver's demonstration of how to repair the land bridge, continued until the party started. Now Rosa felt the 'jack' was even stranger.

Especially when throwing a welcome party for 'Jack' at night.

Rosa, well, she originally wanted to go back to her home, but after being taken by the ambulance to teach her how to calibrate the sensitivity of the land bridge, she was given a brief lesson and then told to go do her own thing.

Suddenly, a ball came flying at us. It hit the wall, creating a big dent, and then fell down, almost hitting the ambulance.

Fortunately, the ambulance dodged it. Just as the iron ball was about to hit the control panel, a blue symbol appeared in front of it. The iron ball fell, hit the solver, and bounced to the ground. At least the control panel wasn't damaged.

"Watch out! Guys, I'm calibrating the land bridge sensitivity!" the ambulance shouted angrily, pointing at the control panel.

"Sorry, Doctor, we got a little too excited." 'Jack' picked up the ball; he had just clearly seen the solver symbol pop up when the ball hit the control panel, resembling some kind of defensive device.

"Did you build this?" 'Jack' looked at the control panel, and the ambulance driver assumed 'Jack' was referring to the land bridge.

"Yes," the ambulance continued to calibrate its sensitivity, while Rosa watched from the side.

"This technology is quite challenging," 'Jack's' eyes were a little strange, as if he was plotting something. Rosa noticed this, so when 'Jack' asked if the land bridge was also made by the ambulance, the ambulance looked on with some doubt and wanted to turn around.

At this moment, Rosa suddenly came up and pointed to the control panel, asking what this place was for. The ambulance driver thought Rosa hadn't been listening carefully and was about to scold her when he noticed Rosa's fingers tapping rhythmically.

The ambulance looked up at Rosa, and half of her screen was displayed, obscuring one of her eyes, with the words "Don't say that" written on it.

Rosa had a great eye for angles, showing only half of the screen so that the 'jack' was out of sight.

"Yes, I made it too." Although he didn't understand what Rosa meant, he was willing to cooperate.

"Is there something wrong?" 'Jack's' eyes had been looking strange.

"I'm not satisfied with his last teleportation, so I'm going to turn it off temporarily." The ambulance pretended not to notice anything, continued operating the program, and casually gave Rosa a brief explanation while bringing up the command panel.

"What if we need to?" the jack asked, somewhat inquisitively. The ambulance driver gave the jack a verbal answer, but wrote a few words on the command panel.

[It's a bit strange]

"If we terminate the procedure now, the damage will be irreparable." When the ambulance said this, Rosa understood. The ambulance also vaguely realized something, because the damage was only a possibility, not a certainty.

So what does the ambulance mean by saying that...?

"So how long does the diagnostic procedure take?"

"If it's fast, it'll be in a bit; if it's slow, it could take days." This time it was Rosa who answered. She even pretended to glance at the program before turning back to tell the 'jack'. Although this answer was a bit of an exaggeration, Rosa believed that the ambulance driver would understand something from the question.

"Oh," 'Jack' walked away, and the ambulance slowly looked at Rosa. From that angle, Rosa could see 'Jack' when she turned her head. After confirming that 'Jack' had moved away, Rosa turned back and continued to use the blind spot to send messages to the ambulance.

[Delaying time?] The text continued to appear on Rosa's screen.

[Uncertain, no evidence] The ambulance continued writing on the command panel, then deleted it again.

[The worst-case scenario is that the base location cannot be discovered, the faster the better, get them out of here.] The ambulance finished writing the last word, then deleted it and continued the diagnostic procedure, only at a faster pace.

Rosa stood quietly to the side, saying nothing, just like a student quietly watching the teacher demonstrate.

'Jack' walked to the other side and chatted with the others, discussing the past, but he seemed somewhat absent-minded.

The partition also found the jack a bit strange, until Meiqi took the jack to visit other parts of the base, and Arcee finally voiced her doubts.

"What's wrong with you?" Arcee asked the partition. They weren't particularly familiar with the jack and couldn't detect the slight difference in his personality.

"It's nothing, I'm just a little upset."

"Different personalities?" Rosa walked over from near the ambulance, glancing down the corridor to make sure 'Jack' had left.

"Yes, how did you..."

"His eyes and words don't seem right..." Rosa said, leaning against the wall. If even his personality doesn't seem right, then there's really a problem.

"Specifically?" Arcee asked.

“Intuition tells me she speaks too deliberately, she doesn’t even use simple, vague phrases to hint at her purpose. If I couldn’t even detect this…” Rosa straightened up.

"Then I wouldn't be alive now."

Imitation is a strength of solvers; they can simulate personalities and project others' traits. Those skilled in these areas will also have strong control over acting skills.

Especially when luring other prey, when the Decepticons need to mimic a personality and occupy a Decepticon identity.

"Buzz... Beep beep?"

"Testing the waters is acceptable, but..."

“I can give it a try. Listen, I know more about jacks than anyone else.” The partition walked to the wall and leaned against it, just about to continue, when the ‘jack’ came back after completing a circle.

When the partition asked about what had happened before, 'Jack' did indeed give an accurate account, but he didn't know one thing.

The partition was not involved in that incident.

The deception was exposed without any suspense. The Thousand-Faced Man, in a fit of desperation, drew his knife. He understood, of course, that to leave safely, he had to take hostages.

But... why did he kidnap me? Do I look weak?

"Don't come any closer, or I'll kill her." 'Jack,' or rather, Thousand Faces, held a jack-like knife to Rosa's neck.

Rosa thought that if hostages were taken hostage, she could try to disable them so that the kidnappers might abandon them and escape.

Meanwhile, the ambulance, due to its secret conversation with itself, accelerated the repair of the land bridge. Now that the land bridge is working, the Thousand-Faced Man simply inputs the coordinates and activates the land bridge.

Just as Rosa was about to slit her own throat with the knife in front of her to make him think she was incapacitated, she heard a chilling remark.

"Don't worry, baby, I'll treat you well." Rosa shuddered. She didn't want to slit her own throat anymore, so she simply stuck out her tail and inserted a syringe into the Thousand Faces' wrist.

The corrosive liquid in the syringe increased the needle's penetrating power, and the corrosive liquid also flowed into other tissues along the body. The Thousand-Faced Man's wrist was pierced, and he released the knife in pain. Rosa immediately turned around and punched the Thousand-Faced Man in the abdomen with all her might.

"bomm!!"

The entire base trembled slightly as they watched Rosa throw her punch, sending the Thousand-Faced Man flying straight into the wall and creating a large crater.

Even as the Thousand-Faced Guest was being sent flying, a blue trail remained behind him. The impact sent dust flying, and the Thousand-Faced Guest coughed up a mouthful of blood.

With a series of loud "zzzzes," the violent shaking even caused the lights on the ceiling of the hall to flicker a few times. Fortunately, the walls of the hall were thick enough, but...

Extensive contusions, limb fractures, metal burns.

"Ah!! I'm sorry!" Rosa cried out, covering her face, her eyes turning into rings as she writhed with emotion.

"Rosa, that's a Decepticon, you don't..." The partition was interrupted by Rosa before it could finish speaking.

"No, I'm apologizing to the wall. This repair must be a lot of trouble."

Again

He'll behave himself the day Rosa punches him.

When the real Jack came in and shut down the land bridge, this was the scene that greeted him: a crippled, or rather, possibly dead 'Jack' was spitting blood all over the ground inside the crumbling wall.

The Thousand-Faced Man had a large, obvious dent in his abdomen, with all the metal inside caved in. The tubes and internal organs inside were probably crushed into a ball by that impact.

Jack raised an eyebrow, beckoned the partition over to take down the Faceless Man, then reopened the land bridge to throw away the trash (referring to the Faceless Man) and incidentally strapped a bomb to the trash as a gift to the Decepticons.

Optimus Prime approached Rosa. "Don't worry, the Fullerton Guild will handle this." Optimus Prime smiled and nodded, looking at the large, human-shaped crater on the wall where dust was still falling.

"To be honest, I feel Rosa is more suited for this," said the partition that threw the Thousand-Faced Man out, looking at Rosa and swallowing a mouthful of electrolyte as he thought of the force involved.

"Her?" Jack looked in Rosa's direction, unable to imagine that such a seemingly soft female machine could exert such great strength, but he also understood that appearances can be deceiving.

"The Thousand-Faced Man was punched into the wall by that little girl." The partition walked to the land bridge and closed it. He could already imagine how terrifying the destructive power would be if Rosa really went berserk.

"So..." Meiqi ran to the foot of the partition and asked, "Shall we continue the party?"

"No, Meiqi, let's continue tomorrow afternoon when you get back. It's already very late."
