Instantly, the entire Earth was enveloped in a faint golden light, and countless ancient runes appeared in the sky. The fleet from the Time and Space Administration materialized in the golden light, consisting of dozens of warships, each several times larger than the one Silver Fox had previously possessed.
On the flagship at the head of the group, a cold voice resounded across the globe through a loudspeaker:
"Earth, an inferior civilization, has been marked as a harvesting target by the Time and Space Administration. Give up resistance and accept your fate, or you will suffer utter annihilation."
Lin Ye ascended into the air, facing the massive fleet. His voice, amplified by the system, resonated clearly throughout every corner:
"This isn't your farm, and we're not your crops. If you want to harvest the earth, you'll have to get past my fist first!"
A great battle that transcends time and space is about to erupt.
Chapter 462 Bulma's Laboratory
The automatic doors to the Capsule Corporation's underground lab hissed open, revealing Bulma frantically operating a holographic projection amidst dozens of floating data windows. Without turning her head, she shouted, "Put him on the medical bed! Gently!"
Vegeta carefully placed Trunks on the central medical bed, while Android 18 helped Lin Ye sit down on a chair next to him.
"What happened?" Bulma finally turned around, her eyes behind her glasses bloodshot. "Trunks' wound...is this time erosion?"
Lin Ye nodded with difficulty: "It was done by the Time and Space Administration... They said they wanted to eliminate time anomalies..."
Bulma's face turned deathly pale. "The Time-Space Administration Bureau? They really exist?" She strode to the medical bed, her fingers rapidly tracing the control panel in the air. "I always thought it was just my father's drunken ramblings..."
Several robotic arms descended from the ceiling and began scanning Trunks. Blue light bands moved back and forth across his body, while data scrolled wildly on the adjacent screen.
"Damn it!" Bulma suddenly cursed, "The time poison has spread to my heart!"
Vegeta clenched his fist: "Can it be cured?"
“I need time…” Bulma frantically operated the console, “but Trunks might not be able to hold out that long…”
Lin Ye struggled to his feet: "System...maybe it's possible..."
Bulma glared at him sternly: "You'd better mind your own business! Alice told me your system is overloaded to 90%, and any more reckless behavior will cause permanent damage!"
Just then, the medical bed suddenly emitted a piercing alarm. Trunks' body began to convulse violently, and the hole in his chest expanded at a visible speed.
"This won't do! We must perform time stabilization surgery immediately!" Bulma shouted. "Vegeta, go get the time crystal from the third cryo-fridge! Number 18, activate the isolation field in the lab!"
The two acted immediately. Vegeta rushed into the depths of the laboratory, while Android 18 ran to the control panel to operate it.
Seeing Trunks's pained expression, Lin Ye gritted his teeth and said, "Alice, activate the emergency medical protocol!"
[WARNING: The host state is unstable; activating the medical protocol may cause system crashes...]
"Stop talking nonsense and follow orders!"
A soft golden light flowed from Lin Ye's hand and slowly entered Trunks' body. The convulsions gradually stopped, and the rate at which the cavity was expanding also slowed down.
Bulma stared in surprise at the changes in the data: "What did you do?"
"His timeline has been temporarily stabilized..." Lin Ye's face grew even paler, "but it won't last long..."
Vegeta ran back carrying a container radiating cold air: "The Time Crystal is here!"
Inside the container, a polyhedral crystal emitted an eerie blue light, and it seemed as if a galaxy was flowing within it.
Bulma took the container and carefully installed the crystal into a complex device: "This is a time stabilizer that Father made based on ancient texts... It's never actually been used..."
The device activated, and a blue light enveloped Trunks. His body slowly rose, and the hole in his chest began to shrink at an extremely slow rate.
"It works!" Number 18 exclaimed in surprise.
But Bulma's expression remained grave: "This is only temporary... the Time Poison is too potent; unless we find the root cause..."
The laboratory lights flickered suddenly, and the holographic projection became unstable. A cold, electronic voice rang out in the air: "Illegal time manipulation detected. This area will be isolated in accordance with Article 7 of the Time Protection Act."
"They've found us!" Bulma exclaimed.
The walls began to become transparent, revealing Silver Fox and dozens of agents from the Time and Space Administration outside. Silver Fox's data glasses had been repaired and were now flashing a dangerous red light.
"Give up resistance and hand over the time anomaly." Silver Fox's voice came through the loudspeaker. "Otherwise, we will take coercive measures."
Vegeta roared and was about to rush out when Bulma stopped him: "Don't be impulsive! The lab has a protective shield; they can't get in for the time being!"
Silver Fox seemed to have heard this, a cold smile playing on his lips: "You think this primitive defense can stop the Time and Space Administration?"
She waved her hand gently, and two agents stepped forward, their devices emitting strange light waves. The protective shield began to ripple like soap bubbles, and cracks appeared on its surface.
"The shield won't hold for much longer!" Bulma anxiously operated the control panel. "We have to find a way!"
Lin Ye suddenly looked at the time stabilizer: "Bulma, what would happen if we increased the energy output?"
“It might completely eliminate the Time Toxin, or it might cause Trunks to undergo Time Collapse!” Bulma replied. “The risk is too great!”
The cracks in the protective shield were increasing, and Silver Fox's voice came again: "Final warning, hand over the anomaly."
Lin Ye and Vegeta exchanged a glance and nodded simultaneously.
"Bulma, maximum output!" Lin Ye shouted. "Vegeta, buy us some time!"
Vegeta grinned: "Just what I wanted!" He transformed into a streak of blue light and burst out of the protective shield, instantly knocking down two agents.
Silver Fox frowned: "Stubborn to the end. All forces attack!"
Lin Ye placed his hand on the time stabilizer: "System, channel all energy into the stabilizer!"
[WARNING: This operation may result in...]
"implement!"
A blinding white light filled the entire laboratory, temporarily blinding everyone. When their vision returned, Trunks's chest cavity had completely healed, but he remained unconscious.
The fighting outside had ceased. Silver Fox surveyed the scene inside the laboratory, data scrolling frantically on his data glasses: "Impossible... the time toxin has been eliminated..."
Vegeta seized the opportunity to return to the lab, bearing several wounds but exclaiming excitedly, "That felt great!"
Silver Fox's expression turned grim: "Since you refuse to cooperate, don't blame us for taking extreme measures."
She produced a peculiar badge engraved with an intricate clock pattern: "Request to use the 'Time Shackles'."
A cold voice emanated from the badge: "Application approved. Authorization code: Omega-7."
The entire laboratory suddenly shook violently, and all the equipment malfunctioned simultaneously. Time seemed to thicken, and everyone's movements slowed to the point of being underwater.
“This is…time stopped?” Bulma said with difficulty.
Silver Fox slowly walked into the laboratory. The protective shield was now practically useless: "It's not stopping, it's slowing down. In the 1000-fold time deceleration field, you will have to expend a tremendous amount of effort even to think."
She walked to the medical bed and looked at Trunks: "What a pity, it could have been removed painlessly."
Just as her hand was about to touch Trunks, an unexpected voice rang out:
I advise you not to do that.
Number 18 stood in front of the control panel, holding a strange device in her hand. It was the backup power core that Dr. Gro had implanted when he originally designed her, and it was now emitting a dangerous red light.
"A black hole bomb?" Silver Fox finally showed a look of horror. "How could you have something like that?"
Number 18 smiled: "Women always need some secrets, right? This thing is big enough to swallow half the Milky Way. Do you think the Time Management Bureau could catch people in a black hole?"
The silver fox slowly retreated: "You wouldn't dare..."
"Give it a try?" Number 18 placed his finger on the button. "I'm curious if the Time Management Bureau has any methods to deal with black holes."
A tense silence lasted for several seconds before Silver Fox finally gritted his teeth and said, "Retreat."
The time-slowing field was deactivated, and Trunks suddenly opened his eyes, a golden light flashing in his pupils.
“Mother…” he said softly, “Don’t worry, I’m back.”
Silver Fox stared at him in shock: "You...you absorbed the Time Toxin?"
Trunks sat up and cracked his knuckles. "It's not just absorption; I understand its essence." He looked at Silver Fox. "Go back and tell your superior that the timeline doesn't need the Bureau to 'protect' it."
Silver Fox's expression shifted several times before she finally let out a cold snort: "This matter won't end here." She activated the teleportation device and disappeared with the agents.
The laboratory was silent; everyone was watching Trunks. His demeanor seemed completely different now, imbued with an air of unfathomable depth.
“Trunks?” Bulma asked cautiously.
Trunks gave a familiar smile: "It's me, Mother. Only... with more memories and understanding."
He looked at Lin Ye: "Thank you for your help. Without your system energy, I would not have been able to fuse with the Time Toxin."
Lin Ye forced a smile: "So what's the situation now?"
Trunks' expression turned serious: "The Time-Space Administration is just a facade; the real threat comes from a higher dimension. They are called 'Observers,' and we are their experimental subjects."
Vegeta frowned: "Explain yourself clearly!"
But Trunks suddenly coughed violently, the golden light in his eyes faded, and he reverted to the familiar young man: "I...I need to rest...those memories are too overwhelming..."
Bulma immediately helped him lie down: "Don't think about it now, just rest."
Lin Ye and Vegeta exchanged a glance, both knowing that this matter was far from over.
In the shadows of the laboratory, a tiny mechanical spider crawled slowly, its compound eyes flashing with the same data streams as the silver fox.
Half an hour later, the laboratory had basically returned to normal operation. Trunks lay asleep on the medical bed, his vital signs stable. Bulma finally breathed a sigh of relief and slumped into the chair in front of the control panel.
"It's finally stable for now." She rubbed her temples and looked at Lin Ye. "How's your system?"
Lin Ye closed his eyes and assessed the situation: "It has recovered quite a bit, but it still needs time to fully repair itself. That last attack almost caused the system to crash."
Vegeta leaned against the wall, arms crossed: "What is this 'Observer' that Silver Fox was talking about? Trunks seems to care a lot about it."
Number 18, inspecting his own damage without looking up, said, "Doesn't sound like anything good. The Time Management Bureau is troublesome enough, and now there's something from a higher dimension?"
Bulma retrieved previously recorded data: "I extracted some residual time toxin samples from Trunks' body, and the analysis results are strange. This toxin not only has spacetime properties, but also carries some kind of... consciousness imprint."
Lin Ye immediately became alert: "A consciousness imprint? What does that mean?"
“It’s like a programmed nanorobot, with both physical effects and the ability to influence thought.” Bulma magnified the molecular structure on the holographic projection. “Look here, these arrangements don’t seem to be naturally formed; they seem to be carefully designed.”
Suddenly, the lab alarm sounded again, but this time it was brief and stopped quickly.
"What's going on?" Vegeta immediately went into battle mode.
Bulma checks the system: "It seemed to be external interference, but it disappeared quickly. It might be some kind of trap left by the Time Management Bureau."
Number 18 suddenly pointed to the corner: "What's that?"
Everyone looked in the direction she pointed and saw the mechanical spider rapidly crawling towards the ventilation shaft. Vegeta teleported there, but the spider suddenly self-destructed, turning into a cloud of smoke and disappearing.
“Surveillance equipment!” Bulma exclaimed. “They’ve been watching us all along!”
