Chapter 150 Extra: What if Ellie was a voice enthusiast?
Chapter 150 Extra: What if Ellie was a voice enthusiast?
(It's time for my brainstorming again~ IF scenario: Elie grew up with GGAD since she was little)
"Emerick! You switched my candy again!!!" Dumbledore grabbed his water glass and gulped down the candy. As soon as it entered his mouth, a strange taste came over him. If it weren't for Emerick's mischief, he would have changed his name.
"You're too old, don't eat so much candy~" Emeric made a face behind Gellert. It was Dumbledore's fault for bringing him to school to suffer, even though he wasn't supposed to start school for another three years. He was being made to suffer now.
"Ellie, stop being naughty and apologize to Al." Gellert pulled the child out from behind him and placed him in front of Dumbledore. The two of them argued countless times a day, and he didn't want to deal with it anymore.
Seeing that there was no longer any protection in front of him, Emerick took out the swapped candy from his pocket. This was his way out, in case Dumbledore really got angry.
"Albus, I'm sorry, I was wrong!" He readily admitted his mistake, but remained unrepentant. Emeric decided that next time he would throw caterpillars on their bed instead of trading candy.
"Heh, still thinking of doing something naughty? I've found you a tutor, I believe you'll be obedient, right?"
"Of course, Albus will listen to me."
Both Dumbledore and Emerick knew the other was lying; one didn't believe Emerick would listen attentively, and the other didn't believe Dumbledore would actually have someone watching over him.
"Ah, Severus, you've arrived," Dumbledore said with particular enthusiasm, looking at the man at the door. He stood up and invited him in. "This is Emeric. Thank you for your help, Severus. Gale and I haven't had time to look after him lately, so we've had to entrust him to you."
Emeric was initially frightened when he saw the dark figure. After all, he was only eight years old; it was perfectly normal for him to be nervous around the professor. This was also why Dumbledore had bothered Severus; otherwise, he wouldn't have wanted to be scolded.
"Old Bee, are you crazy? Bringing such a young child to school? What if his magic goes haywire? Has sweets corrupted your brain? I'm here to teach, not to be your babysitter." Severus frowned at the three people in front of him. He felt that he must have been crazy back then, otherwise why would he have agreed to come to Hogwarts?
"It's settled then, Ellie, you'd better listen to Severus~" After saying that, Dumbledore used his authority as headmaster to throw the two of them back into the cellar.
"Finally got that little brat out of here, Gale, let's go. It's been so long since the two of us went out for a walk together," Dumbledore said, pulling Gellert along as they walked. "Cavan and Ambrose are really something else. They haven't come to see Emeric in so long. Do they even remember they have a child?"
"You should remember, right?" Gellert asked, somewhat uncertainly.
"Never mind, Ellie is safe with Severus anyway, let's go and enjoy some time alone together."
----------
"Dumbledore!" Severus's face turned black with anger. He didn't expect Dumbledore to be so shameless, throwing him and the child back and sealing off the headmaster's office to prevent him from going there.
"You're not allowed to run around here, don't touch my things, this is your only area to move around in, ask me before you do anything, the bathroom is in the bedroom, go in from here, don't touch anything in the bedroom, and this room is off-limits, understand?"
Severus stated the rules here with obvious impatience, dragging Emeric to the adjacent storage room. "This room will be your bedroom from now on. You'll be sleeping alone tonight, understand?"
The kid, whose head was full of mischievous ideas, didn't listen at all. He was now thinking of playing a prank, and as soon as he came in, he set his sights on the bottles and jars in the corner.
"Bang!"
"America Thaddeus!" Severus felt he was dying, so he decided to teach this brat a lesson.
He hadn't originally intended for such a young child to do chores, but now, if Emeric didn't have something to do, his cellar would explode in less than three days.
"Given your excellent performance, I'm giving you a task today: finish processing these daffodil roots," Severus said slowly, suppressing his anger. Although he didn't know why the little brat was stunned, he let him be when he saw him working diligently.
Severus then discovered that whenever he spoke slowly, Emeric would stare at him intently, and no matter what bad things he was doing, he would stop and listen to him.
Even now, many years later
"Emerick, take your hand away. I need to finish my lesson plan tonight." Severus pulled his hand out of his clothes; he didn't have time to play along with Emerick tonight.
"What else haven't you written? Give me half," Emeric said, sitting down next to Severus. "Two people write it, hurry up."
"These are due tomorrow," Severus said, pulling half of the papers from the pile beside him and handing them to Emeric. "Don't bother me until they're finished, you hear me?"
"Of course." Emeric had always liked Severus's voice, especially at this pace; his ears were practically turning red. Plus, the principal's office chair could easily seat two people, so Severus was practically whispering in his ear.
Dumbledore didn't want to see them being all lovey-dovey, so he resigned a long time ago. Now they live in the headmaster's office, which is why Severus is getting busier and busier.
"Give me a shoulder massage, my right side is a little uncomfortable." Severus's deep and elegant voice immediately took control of Emeric, who quickly stood up to massage the man's shoulders after finishing what he was writing.
"I'll go and bring Albus back tomorrow. What's the point of dumping this mess on you? He's the one who cleaned it up. We'll go on vacation then."
"Let him come back and clean it up himself."
Emeric was heartbroken. Severus had been so busy dealing with these things that he hadn't researched potions in a long time. They couldn't just leave it to McGonagall; that would be too much of a rip-off.
"You have class tomorrow, go to sleep first." Severus glanced at the time, feeling sorry for Emeric. He stayed at school to teach so he could see him every day, and also had to manage the family business, keeping him busy from morning till night.
"There's only a little bit left. I can help you out and it'll be faster." Emeric rubbed his wrists and continued working. He preferred working to being alone in an empty room. Plus, he could hear Severus's voice, which was a real treat.
