When Pam left last time, it felt like a lifetime had passed, and this time it was even more so, as if her understanding of vampires had been completely shattered.
The Sun Ring makes vampires no longer afraid of sunlight, and a plant called Verbena can restrain the power of vampires, rendering their hypnosis completely ineffective. Pam doesn't know whether Sue's appearance will bring hope or destruction to vampires.
Don wore a close-fitting necklace containing verbena, which could prevent vampires from hypnotizing her. When Su told her about it, she was somewhat skeptical, but after Pam tested it, she realized how precious it was.
As night fell, in a corner of the Marott Bar, Su browsed various news articles on his laptop while sipping his own red wine.
No news about other American TV series has been found yet, but there are quite a few news reports about various suspected supernatural events, some true and some false. Among them are events that occurred in Supernatural, but unfortunately, they have either already been dealt with by the Wen brothers or are caused by ghosts, so they are not very attractive.
It will be more fun to wait until Lucifer appears. The Apocalypse is about to arrive, and the evil gods and monsters that were hiding on earth will all come out to stir up trouble.
"Can I sit here?"
A strange woman's voice came from the side. Without looking up, Su replied, "Sorry, I'm waiting for someone."
Sue is waiting for Bill Compton. In the TV series, the first place he appears after returning to Good Town is Marott Bar.
"When is the person you're waiting for arriving?" The other person seemed somewhat taken aback, paused for a moment, and then asked again.
"I don't know." Madam Su frowned slightly, raised her head to try to persuade the other person to leave, but froze the moment she saw the other person.
"Your reaction is very genuine!" The other person smiled and sat down confidently opposite Su's.
"Mmm, it smells delicious!" Su replied with a smile, her gaze following the other person's.
The "True Fragrance Law" refers to the phenomenon where a person makes a firm decision not to do or to do something, but their final behavior is completely opposite. It is mainly used to describe a psychological state where someone's expectations and the final result are drastically different.
Su originally thought that the women who were trying to pick him up were the kind of women in the town who had come because of his reputation. He had no interest in wasting his energy on such people. Wouldn't it be better for him to spend his time reading news about supernatural events?
The result was quite unexpected. In terms of figure alone, the woman in front of him was definitely the best Su had ever met so far. Not to mention her looks, her deep blue eyes were strange and charming.
Most importantly, Su was very impressed with her. Back then, Su watched the first four episodes of the entire series based on just one picture. Well, she only appeared in the first four episodes.
And then, I couldn't remember anything about the character she played, what her role was, or the general plot. In fact, the only thing I remembered about the whole show besides her name was her!
Oh, by the way, this show is called True Detective.
I know everything!
Su never expected to meet her in Liangchen Town. She definitely hadn't appeared in True Love Like Blood. What she didn't expect even more was that she would actually strike up a conversation with her.
This kind of unexpected surprise, which was completely unprepared for, felt... amazing.
But here's the question: Who is she?
True Detective? American Horror Story? Why Women Kill? White Collar? Which American TV series is this woman from?
"Thank you." The other person, assuming the "it smells so good" comment referred to themselves, chuckled and nodded. "When is the person you're waiting for arriving?"
Ms. Su shook her head: "I don't know."
The other person was taken aback and said in surprise, "You're really waiting for someone? I thought this was just an excuse you made up to reject me."
“If it were you, I would find it hard to refuse.” Su shrugged casually and praised with a smile, “Some people may be born to break principles.”
"You mean me?" the other person asked with a slight smile.
Su frankly admitted, "You should feel honored, really. My little girlfriend, well, I should say that, she hasn't made me change my principles. Of course, principles are different. If she continues, she'll probably succeed."
"You're quite an interesting person. You told me directly that you have a girlfriend, and then praised me without any reservations. To be honest, this is the first time I've heard such high praise. You seem born to break rules. This is definitely the highest compliment you can give a woman." The other person's deep blue eyes radiated a sense of inquiry.
Ms. Su said with a smile, "You don't understand. You can praise your friends more, but you can't praise your girlfriend too much. It's easy for her to get carried away. That's why I've never admitted to her that she's my little girlfriend."
The other person was puzzled: "Why? Shouldn't you praise your girlfriend more? That way she'll be in a good mood and happy being with you."
· ····Requesting flowers·· ······
"If she gets too excited, I won't be happy." Su chuckled. "It's okay if your friends get carried away, but if your girlfriend gets carried away, will you try to appease her? If you do, you might not be able to appease her properly, and you'll just feel resentful; if you don't, then the only option is to break up."
"So you didn't praise your girlfriend from the beginning to avoid breaking up?" The other person was somewhat speechless.
Ms. Su shook her head: "It's not that I don't want to praise her, it's that I can't praise her too much. Of course, I have to spoil my girlfriend."
Aren't you afraid your girlfriend will break up with you because of this?
"That only means she's not the right person for me."
A girlfriend can be pampered, spoiled, and praised, but if she gets carried away by it or breaks up with you because you rarely praise her and she feels that you don't value her enough, then she is definitely not the right person in Su's opinion.
0 ... 0
My girlfriend is someone I both love and who is a good match for me. If we only have a good match or love, then maybe it would be better to just be friends.
The Su family isn't like the people here who get together today, break up tomorrow, find someone else the day after, and then come back to get back together the day after that. What do they take relationships for? What do they take boyfriends and girlfriends for?
If you haven't thought it through, then just be friends for now. Even if something happens, it's a choice you both made, and it won't involve your boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. It won't get complicated or dramatic.
Su's idea... is very much like a playboy's.
"What's your name?" the other person asked.
"Mr. Su, what about you?"
“Lisa, Lisa Trinity, I’m studying law, what about you?” the other person asked again.
"Probably an unemployed bum," Su joked with a smile.
unemployed?
Lisa Trinity looked at the expensive designer brands Su was wearing; any one of them could easily support a real unemployed person for many years.
While Lisa Trinity was secretly complaining, Su was also mentally trying to figure out who she was.
Judging from her speech, clothing, age, and occupation, Lisa Trinity is either from True Detective or White Snake, with the former being more likely, since her name in White Snake seems to be Kate, not Lisa Trinity.
……
P.S.: After much deliberation, I finally chose True Detective. I couldn't help it; I only started watching this show because of one particular image.
Chapter 111 The Male Protagonist Appears? Akatsuki Organization—Kakuzu Reports!
At the bar, Su Qi nudged Tang En on the shoulder and whispered as she looked at the scene of people chatting happily in the corner, "Your boss is about to be lured away."
"That's your boss too." Tang En looked at himself and then at the woman opposite his boss, and pouted with a hint of jealousy.
Don was confident that she was the prettiest and best-figured woman in town, but she wasn't really confident that she could compare to the other woman.
In every aspect, the other party is better than him. Moreover, the time they've spent together has made Tang En realize his own identity. He should just quietly help his boss with cleaning and housework, and occasionally entertain vampires. As for anything else... don't even think about it.
Tang En was actually very curious whether the boss would be seduced by the other party. If he could be seduced, it would mean that the boss was normal and did not have the same hobbies as Lafayette. He was just too good-looking and had too high standards, and was unwilling to lower his own standards.
If a female boss of this caliber isn't even tempted, then... Tang En has truly given up completely.
"What did you hear?" Don asked in a gossipy voice.
Su Qi shrugged: "I can't hear what the boss is thinking. Actually, I've been wanting to find a chance to talk to him, but he doesn't like my teeth!"
Su Qi turned around dejectedly to greet the new guest, only to be surprised to find that she couldn't hear what the guest was thinking either.
How is this going?
First the boss, and now a strange customer has appeared. Why can't I hear their thoughts? What... exactly are they?
Before Su Qi could react, the other person had already sat down in the seat diagonally opposite the boss.
He wore a normal beige jacket, had a slightly gloomy and serious expression, and sat down without saying a word, exuding an aura that kept strangers at bay.
"I haven't decided what kind of job I want or where I want to work yet, so I've decided to travel around and see what's available..."
Lisa Trinity glanced around the bar, then smiled and jokingly asked Su, "Did I get bored with what I was saying? I can tell your attention isn't on me anymore."
"One is a person you're interested in, and the other is something you're interested in. If it were you, what would you choose?" Su asked Lisa Trinity with a slight smile, glancing at the guests Su Qi was entertaining across the street.
“Am I the one who’s interested?” Lisa Trinity asked.
Su nodded.
"What interests you?"
"It's something that doesn't require immediate attention but is something I'm genuinely interested in and want to know the answer to."
Bill Compton arrived as promised. Su was eager to know whether his target was Su Qi or herself, and also... given that vampires were not widely known among humans, what was Bill Compton planning to do?
In the show, Bill Compton is first kidnapped by a scoundrel couple who try to sell his blood for money. Suki, who has a strange feeling because she can't read his mind, saves him. Suki is then retaliated against by the couple, and Bill Compton saves her with his own blood. It is because of this that the relationship between Suki and Bill Compton begins to heat up rapidly.
Now what? Bill Compton probably won't reveal his vampire identity in public, so he can't take the opportunity to let Suki save the hero and make contact. He can't show up during the day either. What will he do?
Su really wanted to know.
“I haven’t decided which hotel to stay at yet. Perhaps you can do something that interests you first, and if you have time, you can come back and give me your suggestions.” Lisa Trinity paused, then added with a smile, “This is my first time coming to a bar to make friends with strangers.”
Su smiled.
"What are you laughing at?" Lisa Trinity asked curiously.
Mrs. Su gently shook her head: "It's nothing, I just suddenly realized something."
"Oh? What is it?"
"Turns out I am quite charming!" Su shrugged. "I don't have a car. Would you mind if I took you on a walk to enjoy the scenery of this town?"
Su waved, and Tang En quickly came over.
"Boss, what can I do for you?"
"Pack up, I'm leaving now." Su pointed to the laptop, stood up, and bent her arm towards Lisa Trinity.
Lisa Trinity paused for a moment, then smiled and took his arm.
"Is this bar yours?" Lisa Trinity asked curiously as she walked out of the bar with Sue's arm.
"A portion?" Su said with a smile, "I just recently invested in it; I've only been in this town for less than a month."
"Really? Where did you live before?" Lisa Trinity wasn't too surprised, after all, judging from her appearance and demeanor, Su didn't seem like someone born and raised in such a small town.
“I’ve been to many places: California, Colorado, Wisconsin, New York, Virginia. Whenever I come across an interesting place, I buy a house and stay there for a while.”
"Then you must own properties in many places?" Lisa Trinity asked in surprise.
Ms. Su nodded: "Buying houses is one of my strongest skills. You studied law, would you be willing to take on a side job and help me consolidate my property and income data, and calculate the taxes I need to pay this year?"
"That depends on your performance."
