Chapter 368 Preparing to Face the Androids
Chapter 368 Preparing to Face the Androids
As dawn breaks, soft light spills across the tranquil courtyard.
Qiqi stood in front of the door with her hands on her hips, watching the figures disappear into the distance in the sky. She shouted at the top of her lungs, "Hey, you guys should come back soon! Don't you really need to bring lunch?" Her voice was full of worry.
Sun Wukong hovered in the air, waved at Chi-Chi, and wore his signature cheerful smile: "Okay, Chi-Chi, you can go back now!"
After saying that, he, Gohan, and Piccolo flew into the sky side by side like arrows released from a bow.
During the flight, Son Gohan took the lead and moved at great speed.
Seeing this, Sun Wukong quickly sped up to catch up, shouting, "Hey, Gohan, don't fly so fast! The battle hasn't even started yet, save your energy!"
Upon hearing this, Son Gohan turned around with a bright smile and replied loudly, "Okay, Dad!"
Piccolo glanced at the slightly anxious Goku and said in a deep voice, "What's wrong, Goku? You seem very insecure."
Sun Wukong frowned slightly, his expression becoming somewhat grave: "There is a bit of that, after all, we haven't seen any artificial humans yet."
Bick's eyes were firm, and his tone was filled with unquestionable confidence: "I am confident that I can beat them, but I have a bad feeling about it, I don't know why."
Sun Wukong's expression instantly turned serious. He stared intently at Piccolo and solemnly said, "I have a bad feeling, Piccolo. No, you must promise me that no matter what happens, if there is any danger, please stay away from it. Because if you die, the Dragon Balls will disappear with you."
Just then, Gohan suddenly shouted excitedly, his voice full of surprise: "Dad, it's Piccolo, it's Krillin!"
Looking in the direction Gohan pointed, they saw Krillin flying towards them.
The three immediately sped up and quickly approached Klin.
Sun Wukong greeted him with a smile: "Krillin!"
Son Gohan excitedly shouted, "Uncle Krillin!"
Krillin heard the call, turned around and saw Gohan beside him. He was slightly taken aback and said with a sigh, "Gohan, you've grown taller."
However, Klin could not hide his frustration.
Goku keenly noticed Krillin's low spirits and asked with concern, "What's wrong, Krillin? Why do you look so dejected as soon as we meet?"
Krillin sighed with a wry smile and said helplessly, "It must be very frustrating. I'm not a Super Saiyan like you, so the upcoming battle will be very dangerous for me."
As soon as he finished speaking, Son Gohan's eyes lit up instantly. He pointed excitedly ahead and shouted, "We're here! It's on that island over there!"
Following Son Gohan's gaze, everyone turned to look ahead.
A strong wind whistled past their ears, causing the hems of their clothes to flutter.
As they hovered above the island, Sun Wukong narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze sharp as he looked down below.
The island is flat and open, with a towering mountain rising abruptly on one side. Clouds and mist swirl around the mountainside, adding to its mystery and imposing presence.
"Looks like this island isn't small at all!" Sun Wukong rubbed his chin, his voice tinged with contemplation.
His gaze swept across every corner of the island, and his expression became serious.
Klin, standing beside him, swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing, his face full of worry: "And it looks like things aren't going well."
Son Gohan nodded slightly, his expression becoming increasingly serious: "Yes, there is a high mountain here, and there are villages nearby. If a fight breaks out, it could very well affect these ordinary people. We need to find a way to divert the battle to another place."
Son Gohan clenched his fists, a determined light flashing in his eyes, as if he was already planning how to protect these innocent people.
Krillin took a deep breath, narrowed his eyes slightly, and focused his senses on the direction of the mountain: "There's a strong aura over there. It looks like it should be Yamcha and the others."
Sun Wukong's gaze instantly sharpened like an eagle's, and without hesitation, he waved his hand and said, "Let's go."
As soon as he finished speaking, he took the lead and charged forward, piercing the sky.
The other three exchanged a glance, then unfurled their forms and flew off like arrows toward the other side of the mountain. Their figures quickly disappeared into the horizon, leaving only a few fleeting afterimages.
The air currents surged above the island.
Yamcha keenly spotted four figures rushing towards them from the sky. A knowing smile curved his lips as he turned to Tien Shinhan and whispered, "Looks like we were right, they're here."
Before the words were even finished, Krillin and Goku's figures streaked through the clouds like shooting stars and hovered steadily in front of everyone.
Krillin's pupils suddenly contracted, his gaze fixed on Bulma behind Tien Shinhan and Yamcha, as if he had been frozen in place, even his breathing stopped.
The tiny swaddled baby in Bulma's arms swayed gently with her movements; its soft touch and fragile life force seemed out of place in the tense atmosphere.
"Bulma, what are you doing here? Don't you know it's dangerous here?"
Sun Wukong's brows furrowed, his aura tightened involuntarily, and his eyes were filled with worry and reproach.
Bulma cradled the swaddled baby in one hand, her fingertips gently stroking the baby's head. The little life in her arms was quietly sucking on her thumb: "I know, I'm just here to visit. I'll leave as soon as I see what an android looks like."
She raised her chin, her eyes filled with the same stubbornness as always.
Klin took a half step forward, his Adam's apple bobbing violently, his gaze almost glued to the swaddling clothes.
The baby became uneasy under the intense gaze, her rosy cheeks flushed, and she squirmed, burying her head in Bulma's warm embrace.
"Oh, none of that matters anymore. What's most interesting is what Bulma is holding right now. What's wrong? Did you marry Yamcha?"
Klin's voice was filled with undisguised curiosity.
Yamcha crossed his arms over his chest, slowly closed his eyes, a complex expression flashing across his face, and said in a low and resolute tone: "This child is not mine. Bulma and I broke up a long time ago."
He turned and walked away, his clothes fluttering in the wind, his words tinged with an almost imperceptible melancholy: "If you knew who this child's father was, I think you would be very surprised."
Goku strode up to Bulma, gently touching the baby's chubby cheek with his fingertip, a mysterious smile playing on his lips: "Your father is Vegeta, isn't he, Trunks?"
Bulma's eyes widened, and the baby in her arms trembled at the sudden exclamation.
"Huh? How did you know? Wukong, I wanted to give everyone a surprise, so I didn't tell you!"
Bulma's surprise and resentment were palpable.
