Chapter 143 Finding the Grand Elder
Chapter 143 Finding the Grand Elder
Klin's expression was solemn. He closed his eyes tightly, focusing all his attention on sensing the gradually weakening battle aura in the distance. After a moment, he slowly opened his eyes, let out a long sigh, and said, "The aura has weakened. It seems their battle has temporarily stopped."
Dandy looked up at Klin, a hint of worry and curiosity in his eyes, and said softly, "I wonder who will win this fierce battle in the end."
Klin frowned slightly, pondered for a moment, and said, "Regardless of who wins, it's a good thing for us right now. At least we're temporarily out of danger of being caught in the crossfire. Let's hurry on our way, Dandy. How much further until we reach the Grand Elder?"
Dandy looked around carefully, trying to figure out the direction, then pointed to the left and said, "It's not far. Just turn left again and we'll be there."
Upon hearing this, Klin immediately hugged Dandy tightly, his aura surging, and his speed suddenly increased, flying rapidly to the left like a bolt of lightning. Along the way, the wind whistled in their ears, and the two figures swiftly swept across barren lands and rolling mountains.
"Have we arrived yet?" Klin asked anxiously after flying for a while.
Dandy gazed firmly ahead and said, "We're almost there, Klin. Do you see that huge rock ahead? The Grand Elder's residence is there."
Klin looked in the direction Dandy pointed and saw a huge rock standing in the distance, looking particularly out of place in the vast expanse of land. He couldn't help but exclaim, "Oh, that really is far away."
Before long, the two finally arrived at the huge rock. There stood a house in the unique style of Namek.
Klin and Dandy hovered slowly in the air, silently watching the house before them. Dandy said softly, "At this time, the Grand Elder should be at home."
Klin took a deep breath, adjusted his somewhat tired body, looked around, and said, "He lives in such a conspicuous place, and he's still alive. I think those guys will find this place sooner or later."
After saying that, the two slowly landed in front of the house and walked into the house with trepidation.
The door slid open slowly with a soft hissing sound, and a young Namekian stepped out. Dandy immediately recognized him and exclaimed with delight, "It's Nail!"
Neru's gaze fell on Dandy, a hint of gentleness flashing in his eyes, and he said, "Dandy, you've arrived. In fact, the Grand Elder already knew you were on your way here."
"Really?" Dandy exclaimed in amazement. "No wonder he's the Grand Elder; he's practically a prophet!"
Klin breathed a sigh of relief, noticing that Nail looked a lot like Piccolo, and said, "That's great, then I won't have to waste my breath explaining."
Dandy looked worried and hurriedly asked, "Does the Grand Elder already know what's happening?"
Neru nodded in affirmation: "Yes."
Dandy was extremely anxious: "Then why doesn't the Grand Elder leave here immediately? This place is already fraught with danger."
Neru looked solemn and said slowly, "The elder is getting old and knows that his days are numbered. He does not want to leave this land, so we can only stay here and accompany him."
"Ah!" Dandy's expression darkened. "I had heard that the Grand Elder's death was imminent, but I never expected it to be so soon."
Neru turned slightly to the side and gestured for him to come in: "Come in first."
Krillin's gaze followed Nail's retreating figure, thinking to himself, "This Nail is definitely not simple." He narrowed his eyes slightly, concentrating on sensing the aura emanating from Nail's body, his conviction growing stronger: "Compared to the Namekians I've encountered before, the energy fluctuations he possesses are significantly stronger and deeper; he's clearly a powerful individual." Krillin became secretly wary, while also feeling a surge of anticipation for his upcoming meeting with the Grand Elder, wondering what kind of person this formidable Elder, protected by Nail, was.
Upon entering the room, they found it quite spacious, with an additional space above. Naru pointed upwards and said, "Let's go up." He then slowly ascended first. Dandy nodded and followed. Seeing this, Klin quickly followed.
Upon reaching the upper level, Krillin saw a gigantic Namekian, bloated and with an aged face. Krillin couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, that's huge!"
The elderly Namekian, whose eyes were barely open, spoke in a weak but gentle voice: "You must be from Earth. First of all, on behalf of my child Dandy, I thank you for saving his life."
……
On the calm water, a strangely shaped bird gracefully landed, flapping its wings and eagerly searching for food underwater. Just then, a hand shot out from underwater like lightning, precisely grabbing the bird's neck and violently pulling it into the water.
A moment later, with a splash, a figure struggled to climb out of the bank—it was Vegeta. Soaked to the bone, he lay sprawled on the shore, his chest heaving as he gasped for breath. His eyes blazed with rage as he gritted his teeth and cursed, "Damn Zarbon! How...how could I have been defeated so easily? Once I recover, I'll tear you and Frieza to pieces! The Dragon Balls, I will never give them to anyone!"
……
The elder was weak and spoke intermittently: "As soon as those guys arrived on Namek, they killed all my children... It's utterly despicable!"
Upon hearing this, Krillin was filled with indignation. He stepped forward and earnestly said, "Elder, please give me the Dragon Ball above your head." As he spoke, his gaze fell upon the Dragon Ball above the Elder's chair.
The elder was slightly taken aback: "You also know about the Dragon Balls? The Dragon Balls symbolize the wisdom and power of our Namekians, and are the hope of our Namekians."
Krillin quickly nodded: "Yes, Elder. There are Dragon Balls on Earth as well."
"There are Dragon Balls on Earth too?" The elder was slightly surprised.
Krillin explained, “That’s right. A long time ago, Namek’s climate changed drastically, and it became a dangerous place. A Namekian escaped to Earth and became Kami, and he created the Dragon Balls. But recently, the Saiyan Vegeta came to Earth and killed Kami, so the Dragon Balls became unusable. I want to use the Dragon Balls to revive my comrades.”
Dandy chimed in, "Elder, why don't you give the Dragon Balls to him? Maybe his companions can help us fight off those bad guys."
The elder pondered for a moment, then slowly spoke: "Oh, you mean Kada's son? He did indeed have the ability to create the Dragon Balls. And the one who killed him was a Super Saiyan?"
Krillin was taken aback, his face full of confusion: "Super Saiyan? What's that? I've never heard of it."
The elder raised his left hand, pointed downwards, and gestured, "Could you come over here for a moment?"
Despite his doubts, Klin slowly walked over.
The elder gently placed his hand on Klin's head and said...
