Chapter 910: Soul To Power
Chapter 910: Soul To Power
Soul Heaven. At the center of this heavenly world are transparent skies and voids as well as a host of souls forming a colossal sea.
Thousands of seconds passed with souls being extinguished by the shockwaves of battle.
"LET ME GO! WAIT!" Shouted thousands of voices as an eldritch Hydra was beaten across the sky.
Streaking across the sea of souls was a gigantic being. Serpent-like with thousands of long necks sprouting from the chest section.
At the top of these necks were dragon-like heads, each with a different color and a different sense of power.
There had to be at least ten thousand of these heads and the hydra itself was at least the size of two planets put side by side if coiled up.
The necks were just significantly smaller than the main body but even then, each head was incredibly large. Larger than ten mortal streets put together side by side.
This was a being that was very large and would be considered a titan in any part of the universe.
What was even more fascinating was that this wasn’t just some kind of size manipulation or transformation.
This form with ten thousand heads and such a size was actually the true form of the Primordial Hydra.
As the hydra flew across the skies of Soul Heaven, one could see the expulsion of its power.
Each head, holding godly amounts of power, would open its mouth to let out violent streams of energy.
Some were elemental, some were not.
Fire, ice, lightning, petrification beams, storm blasts, thousands of different powers that had not even been seen before.
All of them were aimed at the enemy.
The enemy in this case was none other than Alexander and Kael. Or to be more precise, Alexander was augmented by Kael.
*BOOM!*
A golden flash descended from the sky, splitting the barrier that joined the fabric of reality with two claw-like slashes.
Hundreds of Hydra heads rose up with fury, circulating their powers to block the descent of the heaven-rending claw attack.
Behind the flashing lights of gold and the glorious aura of a king.
King Alexander.
With eyes that burned brightly with gold, Alexander chased after the battered body of the hydra. Every swipe of his moon-sized claws was followed by the swift decapitation of the Hydra heads.
His grey fur was now matted with a few golden strands and his mane flared with regality. Every action of his was just majestic.
It didn’t matter that he was an Anti-Lion with no actual power of his own. Actually, that was the main reason why he was suddenly able to beat up the First Primordial Hydra to this point.
When the battle had started originally, Alexander had been at a severe disadvantage.
He was fighting a Primordial, the first of its kind, and the user of a very unfamiliar law.
The Primordial Hydra was definitely no joke at all. When Alexander fought it, it felt like he was fighting ten thousand different entities at the same time.
Each of them has their own individual power.
At first, he could not tell if each head had its own independent mind or not but after some time he learned that they actually did.
Each head had its own independent thought, its own brain, and its own ideas.
However, as Alexander fought more and more, he was assisted by Kael who was actively studying the environment and the enemy.
Kael, the clone, who had access to a whole lot of laws, could see some things that Alexander would not be able to see.
The Hydra, despite having ten thousand heads with their own independent minds, all shared the same soul.
It was absurd. How could ten thousand intelligent minds share the same soul?
This was not like the cloning technique that was around. Even the All-King could not do such a thing.
Not even Seth or Louis could do such a thing.
If the All-King tried to create a clone, the clone would have fragments of his soul that would still be tied to the main body.
Technically, Kael was still his clone. They did not have independent minds. Everything they did was coordinated and under the control of the All-King’s soul.
This was also by design. The All-King was a sucker for control and he would normally not risk releasing control over his clones.
Based on what Kael had learned in this past week observing the battle between Alexander and the Primordial Hydra, the Hydra seemed to be able to give all its heads their own free will.
However, they had all shared a common desire at any given moment. That was how they were able to stay coordinated despite being so different.
Whenever Alexander waved his claws, he would easily cut off the heads of the Hydra, but they would just grow back.
Such an ability could not be sustained indefinitely. It was found that while most of the heads were busy attacking Alexander, a few were quietly devouring the surrounding souls.
That was the source of its power.
Of course, as the Soul Primordial, his main source of power was Soul Essence which was obviously gotten from the souls.
It was dark. Souls had to be devoured for him to be stronger.
It was just like Marcus the Primordial Vulture of Death, someone had to die for them to get stronger.
One had to lose for the other to win.
But that was just how it was meant to be. Whether it was the Law of Souls or the Law of Death, they were all part of the laws that kept the universe working.
It might not be fair, but it definitely wasn’t wrong.
What mattered was defeating the Primordial Hydra. Because this was a Supreme Level Immortal Primordial, Kael had to be very careful and also be intentional about what he wanted.
Thankfully, a few things have happened in the past seven days that allowed him to begin the process of changing the very nature of the Anti Lions.
Right now, Alexander was changing. He was evolving while he fought the Primordial Hydra while being under the influence of the Conqueror’s Mode.
